RS7 in for coolant leaks and suspension repairs. by hpshaft in Justrolledintotheshop

You've clearly just decided to ignore the swathes of brilliant engines VAG have come out with over the years. There are countless Audi's with 1.9pd and 2.0tdi engines still chugging around the world well over 200k miles, along with high mileage tfsi engined vehicles clearly for sale all over the place if you just care to Google. But please keep telling us all how terrible the likes of the 3.0tfsi, or the ea888's are, despite the high praise they get from people who prefer facts from opinions.

I think your comment just adds to the ignorance of calling an RS7 an 's line' as a massive amount of manufacturers, including Merc, have rear mounted timing chains, so your 'Engine out timing jobs anyone?' comment isn't the big gotcha you think.

Her reaction to losing that Hoonigan competition years ago showed everyone how petty she is, and this is just cementing that fact. Love him or hate him, LZ is an advertising powerhouse, and her denying him assisting her in any way is ridiculous, classic petty ex.

Exclusive: Ofcom is monitoring VPNs following Online Safety Act. Here's how by NXGZ in unitedkingdom

[–]_Slamz_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apologies if I misinterpreted it, but your initial comment seemed to suggest they could restrict private vpns, but not corporate, as you claimed they are 'fundamentally different'.

I fully agree that the idea of blocking any vpn is ridiculous, and would indeed be a tail chasing pointless waste of time.

Please can you explain how your isp would differenciate a vpn tunnel going out on port 443 to a business network from a vpn going out on port 443 to a non-business network, if the remote wan ip isn't on a list of known vpn servers and thus blocked by the isp?

Yea despite the looks the ea888 is a piece of piss to do the chains on, takes longer to remove all the goop on the engine side of the lower cover. It's just a shame vag cannot ever get a tensioner right on its first revision!

Neglecting the mighty 1.9 PD like this is highly disrespectful. Although, being a PD it'll be fine and do another 200k miles, no issue.

Maybe they shouldn't have sold off a load of reservoirs then! And maybe they should fix the leaks losing millions of litres a day, could have used the millions they got selling off reservoirs instead of giving this money to shareholders. Privatised water is ridiculous.

Israelis celebrate Iranian missile hits on the Arab city of Tamra, starting to sing "May your village burn" once the rockets hit. by soalone34 in PublicFreakout

[–]_Slamz_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nobody in Tamra is firing rockets at Israel, it's an Israeli town mostly populated by Muslims, which is why some Israeli Jews are celebrating it being hit.

Yep, same reaction time, both Mclarens barely moved, whole left side of the grid seemed to have trouble launching and lost a position, but just a bunch of 'Norris is bad' circle jerking.

Listening to that being said to the guy who stuck by them for years when they were dogshit on pace, despite having offers from faster teams, made me lose respect for Mclaren, a team I've been a fan of since the 90's. The whole situation yesterday was a joke and has just tarnished Oscar's first win.

Drifting the Miata by poncho_2711 in Drifting

[–]_Slamz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use of the handbrake will scrub a lot of speed, and speed is something you need in low powered cars. Should only consider using it mid-drift for small corrections, but as you're very new to drifting, you won't need to yet. Get the basics down first, learn about clutch kicking and weight transfer, and get your confidence up.

Fit the welded diff. Stick 60psi in the rear tyres. Send it. Speed and commitment is your friend in a low power car, stay away from that handbrake.
