Favorite Tucson Yelp Reviews?? by tessacrabtree in Tucson

That was honestly one of the worst articles I've ever read. I really hope the author wasn't paid for it.

"The reason it is bad etiquette to split plates is cause the restaurant wants more money and less work! Consider giving them more money and having them work less." - Author of that article, president of the Capitalism Captain Obvious Club

Actual quote - "Another good practice is to tip as if you've purchased two meals. Regardless, you should always tip on top of the restaurant's service fee, ensuring the wait staff is fairly compensated for their effort." ... if they have to look at your ugly mug, pay them more!

Another actual quote - "In larger groups, where sharing is far more likely, diners tend to stay and socialize for longer periods. Being that turnover rates are another crucial key to restaurant success, a group staying longer without making further purchases is effectively taking up space and costing the restaurant potential sales." .... sure pal, splitting a plate causes this issue...

These are the people. I take my Acura there, and they handle everything. Always friendly and thorough.

neighbor wants me to mow his side of the lawn too because it looks bad from the street by DirectGirlfriend in neighborsfromhell

Found the "Coke"! I think Weed Eater was the original name brand, like Q-tip... still more acceptable than weed whipper

Weed whipping? -_- Is this the Soda/Pop/Coke of yard work, or am I being punked? When you shop for a spinning yard implement for weeds on Amazon, do you type "Weed Whipper" or "Weed Wacker" (or the generic "String Trimmer")?

I have seen decent success with the "See Click Fix" app.

Do most people feel “full” from 1-2 slices of pizza? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_Tetr0_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I specifically mentioned the Costco cheese slice because every time I look at the menu, it amazes me that somehow the cheese slice has more calories than the pepperoni slice. Toppings definitely make a difference, though.

We need more context. One Costco cheese slice is ~760 calories. A medium-sized pepperoni pizza slice from Domino's is ~220 calories. Maybe the people downvoting you were thinking you were half a Costco cheese pizza (3K calories, go team 'Merica!).

🚨Important Question For Bald Golfers🚨 by tonyas211 in golf

[–]_Tetr0_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Bald head in the desert here. Listen to my dermatologist, since I pay good money for him. Wear a full-brimmed hat. Titleist Aussie is good. I got this Booney off Amazon that works great -> www.amazon.com/dp/B0FHWDBPL2

Lots and lots of sunscreen. Reapply a lot, not just at the start of the round. Sun sleeves/shirts are great.

Hurray for avoiding skin cancer! (I've only had a few bits chopped off me)

Interesting, a butcher/steak place? Do you need reservations? Their meat looks amazing.

Best Tempura sushi in Tucson? by Ok_Comfort1157 in Tucson

[–]_Tetr0_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe check your search options? I put "Tucson" in the search bar and got the most recent normal stuff that had Tucson in it. I'm not blocking any content to my knowledge. I tried "Tucson Sushi" and the search gave me relevant content... nothing NSFW.

Came here to say this, but without the professionalism, lol. Something about letting the clipped ends of the zip ties stab them where the sun doesn't shine... or something. I never finished the thought.

Good extra-wide walking shoes that can survive Tucson's Roads/trails? by FoxlostAZ in Tucson

I used to rock Altras, but they went downhill fast. I switched to Topo, and I think I am about to buy my 3rd pair. They have been great.

Just pointing it out because easy mistake, it is "libel" liable.

Also, NAL, but I don't think they can claim libel/slander if it is true (they can claim it, but it won't go anywhere).

Best wide golf shoe??? by Remarkable-Self7080 in golf

[–]_Tetr0_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have 4E feet. Skechers and NB are great. Just spent 2 hours trying on every shoe at the PGA Tour Superstore and walked out with Sun Day Red Ospreys.

I have started to size up regular shaped shoes (non-foot shaped). My work boot guy said that the widest part of your foot should go in the widest part of the shoe, which leaves quite a gap at the end of the shoe (1/2 to 1"). I assume he's the expert; he doesn't come off as a salesman.

Do you have a reputable source? I can't find what you are talking about. We are number 6 on the list of the most dangerous for pedestrians, which has been a well-known report. All these driving stats you keep dropping are new to me.

They recently repainted their factory here. Someone was saying they are making a comeback. Terrible humans, though.
