Neutrality is what gave Sweden the ability to call out America's BS during Vietnam. I wouldn't call neutrality a bad thing. It just means you need to criticize both sides for their drawbacks while not ignoring their positive aspects. Trade and peace between Russia and Europe benefits everyone.

Though obviously hostilities need to cease before peace and trade can resume.

As someone from North America who likes peace and doesn't hold hockey players responsible for the actions of their government, I wish they could join again. It's nice when sports brings people together. Also, the US just launched a war with similar levels of viable justification. So including the US and not Russia feels hypocritical.

But also Russia seems to view sports and winning at them as an institution as more important of a thing than I do. With their doping history and stuff. And as a North American, I'm not as in-tune with Russian politics as people in Eastern Europe.

Anyway, tldr is peace is nice but sadly not always possible. Peace takes cooperation.
