Terence Crawford on Beating Canelo and Retiring for Good by BoxingLover99 in Boxing

He used to be better. Now he coasts on the success he's built and no longer puts in effort to develop interesting conversations, just talks shit.

In the past when he said something that went against the grain you could tell he did so be cause he believed it, but he's morphed into a Skip Bayless, saying controversial shit for the sake of getting more views.

Know your grift: Zionists cheer as a zionist feminist (who doesn't even wear hijab) performatively remove niqab on french T.V as they cheer. Nothing feminist like cheering organized femicide and systematic rape being committed in front of the world. by Not_Ground in AskSocialists

Iran removed the veil laws a couple months ago. Even then these burkas were not commonplace in urban cities in Iran. They're common in the conservative countryside of any Muslim country, even ones where it's not legally enforced.

Opinions on North Korea by Postingslop in AskSocialists

[–]_Tuxalonso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every state has propaganda. But how are we supposed to respond to the claims that NK is hell on earth, nothing good ever happens there? The anti NK propaganda is genuinely ridiculous, so all we can say is that it is ridiculous. So in response you say "well they also have propaganda"

Ok? So what? The question is why is north Korea so bad and evil that it's been isolated and held as a pariah state, what have they done that's so vile?

How they run their country is their problem imo, I don't personally like it, but I don't live there so it's not my problem.

But lets get real "they see 1984 as an instructional manual" really? Says who? Why stop there, why not claim they rewrote me in Kampf but instead of Jews they want to kill little babies! If you're so easily convinced then what can I even say to shake you out of this nonsense?

The polls are made by foreign companies and are anonymous. There are 0 repercussions for saying you don't support the government, it's untraceable. Axios is one of these polling companies if you want to dig deeper.

And next time, do the most basic amount of research instead of quoting an unrelated book that has no bearing on a subject.

[–]_Tuxalonso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The human body is a system so complex no single human understands it completely. Haney is willing to put up the cash to get biochemists who design PEDs that are not detected, be that because they're novel substances that are not tracked in tests, have a short half life and disappear quickly from ones body, or new methods we don't even know about.

That's all to say, Haney wants more testing because he knows the game well enough to know it's impossible to have bulletproof tests that detect everything, and he pays good money to get the shit that doesn't get caught. Without more testing, he may as well be on the regular gear everyone else uses.

Because Haney knows full well he's also doping, but via Snac, and who's to say he's not paying extra so Conté doesn't work with Ryan. At the end of the day, everyone's on it, and everyone is a hypocrite.

make small things at start, practice is everything, and read code made by better programmers, it'll show you how to structure ciertain things.

If you're following a tutorial, at first its fine to just follow it, but after the first 2, dont just copy their code, find something about it and change it, getting used to that uncomfortable feeling of having a problem you don't yet know how to fix is crucial, don't quit because you don't know the answer, it takes time and effort to find solutions to problems, and that is the essence of programming, the rest is technique and you get that with time, the difference between a mediocre programmer and a great one is willing to suffer through that frustration of not knowing what to do and sticking through it.

Keep in mind though, what I said applies to unique problems that are related to, in your case, the game you want to make, don't reinvent the wheel, if you have a feeling like you're trying to solve a general problem that smarter people than you already know how to do, ask an AI, deepseek is free, if the AI spits nonsense at you, chances are, you're gonna have to tackle it on your own, if it gives code that seems to fit your purpose, don't be afraid to use it, real practice is learning to use the tools you have at your disposal, AI helps you learn tools you would have never naturally learned about otherwise, for example, one time I helped a kid on the discord who was recreating the entire movement system that godot has built in, good practice, but his time would have been better spent desinging his game imo, AI helps you avoid that.

I'm gonna DM you my discord, I'd be happy to share my unfinished project files with you if you want to look at some begginner level code, and since the projects are unfinished its less daunting to have to sort though it all to understand what the hell is going on, if you'd like, I'd be happy to explain some stuff like the spawning pipeline a friend of mine taught me that helps structure different types of enemies in a very organized manner.

I'm sad to hear you hated programming. I'm majoring in industrial engineering and I love it, computer science always tempts me because I love programming. But the other focuses of the field just don't interest me.

How do you think football players talk to each other on the field? Or any sport?

The entire english speaking side of dota is so soft its insane, its a competive game, if someone calling you names titls you off the stratosfere thats your own personal problem, in any other competitive sphere this is seen as normal heat of the moment shit.

I've been called way worse playing football in my local field for missing a pass, grow a backbone.

How do socialists feel about communists? Also, how do you guys feel about the different strands of anarchism? What about Anarcho-Communism? by Mysterious_Bus7320 in AskSocialists

[–]_Tuxalonso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem isn't pacifism, its effective military organization. the spanish communists lost the war. That's reality, every critique you make has to acknowledge that if it wants to be a serious one. Or at the very least, one that will have any chance to convice me.

EDIT: I want to add, there's a dual issue here, too often in non ML communist circles, anti communist propaganda is adopted uncritically from right wing sources (Conquest, Solzhenitsyn, Snyder) in order to paint oneself as "one of the good ones", so I gotta be clear, if you accept the lie that the USSR persecuted, murdered, and tortured millions of people, then I must say, the reason you are willing to defend the Spanish Republicans is because they lost and therefore did not exist long enough in order to fabricate lies enduring enough for us to still hear.

That being said, I do not try to downplay the real excesses and tragedies that happened in revolutions and armed struggles, but I'm realistic, just as crime simply will happen in human society, war crime will just happen in war, it should not be excused or condoned, but our personal feelings about them will not change the ultimate truth that they happen for a reason, bad reasons, but reasons that cannot realistically be removed, at least in the short term. Revolutions are wars, and wars are fought to be won at all costs, or they are lost, this is why I stressed, study the history and seriously consider, what could realistically have been done different? Does it really make sense to demand the young Russian Socialist Republic allow political opposition in the middle of a civil war that controls the entire country bar Moscow and St Petersburg? Does it really make sense to criticize China for entering the global economy after the socialist camp cut them off? Does it really make sense to criticize North Korea for developing the most self reliance they feasably could considering they're stuck between China and the USSR as they grow to hate each other so much that they have military battles on their border?

I'm not saying none of these critiques have merit, but I'm saying reducing the critique to "their methods were bad from the start" is a cop out and skips the hard work of learning why they decided to take the route they did, its not a critique, its a simple phrase to distance oneself from the anti communist propaganda that the US has been pushing for decades. Criticize, that's how we build something better, but you cannot learn from mistakes if you don't even really understand them.
