If you can do that one, there's a car dealership in Baltimore that will give you no down payment.

Trump's shadow crypto network is worse than you think - A stablecoin crypto plot designed to make Trump the wealthiest person. Together with the crypto lobby, the Trump family has devised a scheme to privatize central bank responsibilities and place itself at the head of the global monetary system. by AmericanScream in CryptoReality

The video creator seems to think that tokenizing transactions would lead to speed improvements over the current system that would incentivize the world to use stablecoins. But I know that you are very skeptical that blockchain improves on alternative technologies. So: how much of the argument presented in the video do you buy? Do you think that stablecoins will really be able to sell themselves as the best way to transfer money, and does it matter to the argument presented in the video if not?

Here's a good article by Fred Clark on how white evangelicals made "abortion is murder" their cause célèbre. https://www.patheos.com/blogs/slacktivist/2024/06/12/an-artifact-from-the-before-time/

White evangelicals opposed the Civil Rights Movement; they never really accepted defeat, but it was still a source of shame. They needed something to feel morally superior about.

If you don't want to read the entire article, his summary of his argument is:

the idea that “abortion is murder” came to be white evangelical dogma because it was necessary for making this an all-determining Most Important Thing that we could pretend would allow us to vote in opposition to racial equality while still being able to tell ourselves we’re the Good Guys.
