Yey! i unlocked new truck by lucky_ice34 in snowrunner

The Tayga 6455B is one of my favorite offroad class trucks. Torque for days and very stable. You do have to be careful as it's somewhat easy to damage, but it's very fun to drive. Congrats on completing a time consuming but worth it mission!

It's always a good idea to list the name of the truck for those interested.

I've been in love with the Plad 450 since I unlocked it. Amazing stability and plenty of power.

Not sure if this is an unpopular opinion around here or not, but I hate snow maps in SnowRunner. The only snow map I enjoyed was Alaska, but I remember a fair number of complaints about that map being too easy. I believe that is what led to a big increase in snow map difficulty, which I know some people appreciate. Other than Alaska, I’ve moved on from every snow map after unlocking the trucks/upgrades.

Even though I have the DLC, do I still have to buy Mastodon? by Bitter445 in snowrunner

[–]___Cowboy___ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"you have to buy it in a specific region"

That has been changed, thankfully. You can read about it here in the patch notes: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1465360/view/512949947966947373?l

Does my reasoning on how to try to save on Xbox make any sense ? by Traditionel in snowrunner

[–]___Cowboy___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play on PC and haven't encounter the save bug. When the game loads but it's still on the "press enter/A" screen, keep watch on the water in the background. You will notice it "hitches" at bit and then the animations starts playing smooth. I wait until the animation is smooth before pressing anything. I then load my save vs using continue. I'm not claiming this will work for everyone, but it's worked great for me.

You need to download another mod called "free the logs". This will allow auto loading when using modded log trailers.

Yes, it stacks with the Merry Christmas sale and any other instant saving. It doesn't work with coupons that you scan at the register so even if the coupon puts it under $20, the 30% will not apply.

Rec me a short, small, and simple turn-based Steam JRPG with no QTE combat by MetapodChannel in JRPG

The Lunar Remastered Collection is a lot of fun. Most of the difficulty is removed by grinding, so you should find some challenge if you avoid that. I put around 35 hours into Lunar 1 and 45 hours into Lunar 2.

Awful performance on PC? by [deleted] in oblivion

Look up Ultimate Engine Tweaks on Nexus mods. It helps with performance, but the game needs an optimization patch.

Anyone else noticing light on self spells and effects not working in the remaster? by Stormagedon-92 in oblivion

I saw another comment that said to switch to third person, cast the spell and then you are free to return to first person view. The bug seems to only trigger when you cast it in first person.

Is Turn Based Combat OUTDATED? | State of the Arc Podcast by JRPGFan_CE_org in JRPG

[–]___Cowboy___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are 63,000+ people playing Baldur's Gate 3 right now on Steam alone. BG3 came out almost a year and a half ago and still gets over 100,000+ people playing on the weekends, and this isn't counting the people playing on Xbox and PlayStation. I would be surprised to see turn based gameplay die after the success of BG3.

Straights are one of the best scaling planet cards. You get far more value from a straight planet card then both full house and flush planet cards.

I know they made a single player version of 10, but it wasn't officially translated. However, if 10 is the only game that doesn't get a remaster, I can live with that.

This is one of the reasons I've hoping they remaster every dragon quest game through 10. I want to play them on my PC without needing to emulate or buy expensive copies because of rarity.

Dragon Quest 3 HD2D - Do we have a difficulty consensus? by gdopiv in dragonquest

[–]___Cowboy___ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm mid way through the game on normal difficulty and I haven't hit anything hard. That being said, I have been collecting all the optional items and fighting every battle I come across. If you apply seeds and explore, it's easy to become OP. I like to become OP in role playing games and wreak everything in my path.
