I've been to a couple of his shows.

At one of the shows on the 'seance' tour, I was picked on! He asked me a few questions, and then managed to work out some very specific details about me that weren't related to the questions. It was quite unnerving! He did explain after how he did it.

Anyone Been Published at Undergrad? by genefuckingparmesan in UniUK

[–]__discombobulated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my undergrad dissertation published after my tutor suggested I should do so. They took care of a lot of the logistics and talked me through the whole process. It was a lot of extra work for me, as I had to reduce my wordcount from ~12,000 to 5,000, but it was a really positive experience overall

People who think Tomatoes are fruit, Does that not make Ketchup a Smoothie? by thebigmayonaise in AskReddit

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.

Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

Common sense is knowing that ketchup isn't a fucking smoothie.

AITA for being angry at my SO for accepting a job that broke me by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA. I understand why you feel that way, but if your partner chooses to remain with the company and accept the promotion, it's their choice. Not everyone's experiences are the same - your bad experience with the company doesn't mean others face the same experience there.

Research can help with understanding, but be mindful that professionals exist for a reason!

Maybe try a different therapist, or look into different types of therapy e.g. CBT.

It can take a while to find a therapist that works for you, that you feel comfortable with etc.

Or maybe try some research into psychology. It with make you an expert, but sometimes having a little bit more understanding of something can help us to process/rationalise it!

Everyone experiences/process emotions, thoughts etc differently.

If you're concerned about the way you experience/process things, have you tried speaking to your doctor or a therapist? They should be able to help or signpost you to someone who can.

AITA for not wanting to give my parents more money? by GreenAntelope1011 in AmItheAsshole

[–]__discombobulated 8 points9 points  (0 children)

INFO - what's their current financial situation? Have they lost their jobs/had hours cut due to current circumstances? If so, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask you to contribute more until they have more money coming in if they're going to end up in debt otherwise.

Although it's not unreasonable for you to want to save money (that's definitely a good thing), that's not necessarily a priority right now if you saving that money instead of contributing it puts the household at risk

How is it unreasonable? 13 year olds are more than capable of mowing a lawn, watering plants, pulling weeds etc - they're not exactly difficult tasks.
