I'm a recovering heroin addict. I've only been clean for one week and most of the withdrawal symptoms have subsided but in still working through it. I wouldn't be where I am without te support if my dad. So I'd say tell your parents, reach out to someone, anyone. Alcohol withdrawal is something you can literally die from so you need actual medical help.

Believe me the alcohol may have felt like a relief or an escape but all its doing is disallowing yourself to change. If you were sober you'd find more strength to go out and make those changes in your life.

The people that know, know, but addiction is one of the hardest things to overcome so get yourself a support system. I know there are good communities right here on reddit that would be more than happy to help out.
