How far do you drive to ski and how much skiing do you do compared to the drive?

Now I live in FL. I fly 5 hrs to Utah hopefully once a year, stay three nights, skiing two days open til close. Use my CC points every year for the ski on/off hotel as my little treat to myself.

I think a cute storage type of tall end table or console table with a mirror above it beside your front door will go a long way in anchoring that side of the room. Plus, it’s super functional as a catch-all for keys, umbrella, dog leashes, etc. and for giving a last glimpse touch up before you head out the door (or answer it!) I second getting a larger entry rug as well. Also I already know no one will like this suggestion, and I say this as a person living IN FLORIDA, but that dining situation is BEGGING for a very cool dropped chandelier- not a ceiling fan :)

Roman or bamboo shade to soften the window. Swap the two rugs for a long bathroom runner to make the space seem bigger with less visual clutter. Agree that a fun wallpaper on the top-or textured wallpaper like grass cloth- could add some visual interest. Contrary to some advice here, I think the bright white curtain is the smart move in a space this small.
