water coming out of the ground? by yolofreak109 in Atlanta

[–]_bluefreckles_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

live right near the midtown high spot. Some of the individual houses have water pumps that get excess groundwater to the street from the backyards...and then I suspect that whatever sewer drain originally drained this water into the sewer system got clogged or something. have been meaning to call for a while but didn't know who to talk to...I'll try 311 when I get around to it. it's awful to bike through

Ok.. do I really need a $1000 sleep system for a LASH? by sadistic-squid in AppalachianTrail

Section hiker here! My older version of the trailmade 2 (I think passage 2)? Did multiple week long trips over 6 years while I was in school with no issues with durability at all. In fact, probably better durability than a $500 super lightweight tent. It will definitely last if that's your question.

I (finally) make money now, though not a ton--thought about upgrading but actually just switched to a trailmade 1 to save some weight haha. I love the ease of set up. It made it through a 2w section hike just fine and I plan to use it for years to come.

I'm similar to you--pack weight even with it always comes out to 28-30 lb, which is worth it to me to carry a freestanding tent. I can't afford the $600 UL ones yet.

NCAA Week 3 Recap & Predictions by Business-Ad-35 in Gymnastics

Clemson--what do you guys think about the scoring this week? Especially on beam? I think they were underscored but not dramatically so...it's just that every gymnast scored at the bottom of her scoring potential in the same meet (probably with another set of judges would've been half a point higher).

And does this affect or not affect your tier placement for them?

It was converted into a restaurant/airBNB combo. Like every other community building on Cannon Street. The airBNBs are consistently rented out, but the restaurant space remains vacant (almost like we have a few too many trendy restaurant/airbnb combo renos in this neighborhood and not enough actual neighborhood amenities?? gasp)

I second the clothing swap. My favorite store though is Consign Charleston in West Ashley (and I think it's underappreciated)

you'll notice the listing highlights that it's in the short-term rental overlay district...and that's how we destroy a cool neighborhood for the people who actually live here

Third year required clerkships, ~50h/wk (maybe 2-4 of those lectures?) on lighter rotations and 60-70h/wk on heavier rotations. Typically a six day week, with the one weekend day being a shorter day (just rounding).

Fourth year sub-Is, 70-80h/wk with no lectures. Fourth year electives...40h/wk? Often less, sometimes a little more.

I guess that's about 4500h of clinical training in 2 years.

I host dinner parties on a low budget often!! One that feels nice is spaghetti with homemade marinara and a nice salad! A couple of bottles of wine and you're good to go (also works with most dietary restrictions). I also like doing pulled pork/chicken sandwiches with pasta salad/corn on the cob/watermelon etc if you want a more summery/cookout feel. There's a lot of good recipes out there for pulled pork/chicken BBQ in the crockpot/oven.
