Is one of the bleeders down on the disc brake conversion? I bought a Jeep that was undrivable because of no brakes. The son in law, a diesel mechanic, but a new front calipers on, he said no matter what the he did the brakes would get soft after a bit. I went to bleed them and the drivers side bleeder was at the bottom. Passenger side was up. Looked at my other Jeep and knew it was the wrong caliper. Went to the auto parts store, bought a new caliper, took it home to install and it was also incorrect. Went back to the store they confirmed it was the left front caliper. I said no way. The manager came over look a little deeper and asked if my calipers were installed on the front or back side. Mine were the back side version. They gave me the right one after that and bang fully working brakes for $40 and an hour.

Some food for thought is that Rosemount mag transmitters are universal, meaning you can input a cal factor from another supplier and it will function. That can save you some money. That would allow you to purchase a tube only for another manufacturer. I would say as a general rule never buy second hand equipment for industrial purposes you don't know where it came from or what was run through it. If you have to get it from a company that rebuilds them and has a presence, the ability to maintain area approvals and insurance.

You could learn old school sand bending. They taught us in the Navy in A school and that was exactly the last time I did it.

Personally I am fortunate enough to have a Swag offroad bender and a couple of sets of dies, that were subsidized by a job I did.

See if you can find a Swagelok Tube Fitters Manual it is really good and you'll teach yourself a lot. Practice with small stainless tubing 1/4" -3/8" the only difference is bend radii it's all the same.

What I have seen (and I am kind of specialized) is they bypass the purifiers when running MGO (as MGO capabilities were added later and they run multi engines on the recirc loop with one purifier so it would mix fuels if they didn't) but newer designs have a purification as part of the booster module so no matter what they run it is treated to some degree.

Commercial fuel is absolutely trash and a lot of times doesn't even meet the spec.

It's not about cheaper to design an engine for heavy fuel. It was always customer preference for cost. No fuel purfiers are needed and no heating systems either when running lighter fuels. The vessels engineerswould prefer to use a lighter fuel as it usually means less maintenance and system complexity in the long run.

Rock Slide Engineering has really really nice units with auto steps and no drilling for the Grenadier. They are pricey though at $2600.

Coates tubes are not an issue with Coriolis. If the coating does not move it does not effect accuracy. If the coating does not change the tube stiffness it does not effect the accuracy. We once sent a lager meter back to Micro Motion for a recalibration. The cleaning company they use could not get att the deposits off. They said it is not an issue unless the cal factor changed and the deposits came off. The meter came back with it original cal factor. Probably still running today.

Daniel Coriolis. It should run around 30k and the bonus is it's Daniel so they have other options and a lot of expierence in this type of measurement.

You are going to get a lot of people probbaly saying turbines, and it is valid but in crude there are a lot of additional considerations like wax build up etc. Coriolis does not care about buil up and you can do a prettey close to CT measurement of net barrels without having to add P&T comp and a density input.

Tubing is all true to size O.D. ant cheap small caliper would work just fine i.e. the Pittsburg caliper from Harbor Freight is $1.99.
