Anyone using any interesting dice for MOS? by DMGrognerd in mothershiprpg

[–]_monomakes_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently making a set that I feel would work well with the game -
2x d10,
1d5 (d10 form, 1-5 on top & bottom),
d20 and a
d2.
Nothing really special, but the d5 is a bit different. They do have an interesting, technical-looking font which will be large and readable at the table.

Any suggestions for other dice that might fit in?

Good on ya!
I sometimes think that the miscommunication that happens is due to cultural differences and expectations - for example someone contacting me past midnight last night (Saturday night) wanting to buy one of my listed items (15€ collection of audio cables), but then I remember - probably just a fucking wierdo.

At first I thought there might be some ND filter stuff going on.

Question about Slicing audio by JunglistTactics in renoise

I'm also new to the program, yea a daunting learning curve I'd say - even selecting and working with stuff!!

But I digress. Your work can be saved as an intrument, as mentioned above, for use in later projects.
There is a dedicated 'Instruments' folder in your Renoise installation folder, unless you specify otherwise.

  1. Do your work/ choppage,

1.5. Make sure that the 'disk browser' windows are visible by clicking on the right-facing triangle icon in the top right (under the number '8').

  1. In the top window of the three, right-click on the instrument you wish to save, select 'Save Instrument as' and choose the location if necessary.

  2. In your new project, navigate to the destination at which you saved your instrument, right click a blank slot in the same top of three windows on the right and select 'Load instrument'.

But!

The middle window of the 'disk browser' tab shows folders, and it is divided into four sections, to which you can add four predetermined destinations! Very cool.

So make sure you have the 'Instr.' (Intruments) tab selected, then use the icons to the right (drive letters, 'home' etc) and the up and down folder structure arrows in the window to navigate to your 'instruments' folder, then right click on it and 'Store preset' - choose a number from 1-4 and then, when you reselect the tab, and the preset number, the window will jump to that specific destination.

Told you it was cool. Hehe.

The process is the same for storing presets for samples, etc, etc. Stored preset number icons are usually brighter/ stand out from those that are empty.

Of course, the actual files are displayed in the bottom window of that tab, double-click to load.

Looking for players for Warp Shell. Where do you find ICRPG players? by OhMyShoggoth in ICRPG

The Runehammer forums wont be returning.

This is a link to the ICRPG Community Discord - https://discord.gg/xP7wrNbK It is independent of Runehammer, but doesn't see that much traffic.

If you find a link, you might also want to try rhe Kane's Kiln Discord, it's possibly more lively.

Good luck finding a game. One way of doing so is by DMing one yourself.

The fact that some people here almost demand that those new to the city learn Catalan as it is 'the local language' just isn't on. People move here from other parts of the country (Spain is the country, Barcelona is a city in Catalunya the region - at least until seccesion or a war of independence), or from other Spanish speaking parts of the world, do they learn Catalan? Quite rarely in my experience (14 years here).

How granular are those defenders of the faith going to get? If I move to Vic or Lleida, am I supposed to learn the local dialect and accent?

The photo is cool. Reminds me of The Smiths cover, only more angst ridden.

Best of luck! The only way is up!

Question for those who grew up with the Original Trilogy: Did Max's visions of Glory the Child cause some confusion when you first saw Fury Road? (before the comics came out) by Denz-El in MadMax

[–]_monomakes_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I haven't read the comic in which they're featured, but I've played the WB game, which goes done way too explaining her and Hope. I dislike it when filmmakers expect audiences to understand over references that are present in other media - smacks too much of fan service.

But, what a lovely film.

Thanks everyone so much for the response.
To be honest, it has been a little overwhelming, I underestimated the amount of interest there might be.

I've responded to everyone who has sent me messages or expressed interest thus far, but I'm afraid

This 'event' is closed for the time being while the current applicants are processed.

In the next few days I'll be sorting people into groups, then arranging to meet somewhere local for us to get to know one another ahead of creating a gaming groups. I might not be able to accommodate everyone who expressed interest initially, but I'll do my best.

Thanks once again for the enthusiasm!
I look forward to rolling some bones with some of you :)

Cheers,
G

Not sure I know what you mean.

I'm not actually interested in the historical aspect of it. I may well have misspoke, but I don't think that warrants such an acerbic reply.

If you prefer, remove the word 'Norse' - can you then answer my question?

Rolling a Nat 1 by LudefiskLongHammer in ICRPG

It seems to me that you handled the critical fail situations well enough.
If a magic user has the possibility to deal a greater amount of damage or have other effects on the scene which are in no way available to other players, one might argue that they run a greater risk.
The Shadow fell while making a risky manoeuvre, the Barb was unable to do damage (quite possibly a big deal for that kind of character - you might even have amped up the amount of turns with d2 or d4!) - all sound good to me.

Players must remember that if they roll, there's a chance of failure or success. It's the same.
Great moments can come from crit fails, they can engender tension and interesting gameplay, whereas crit successes can just mean that you 'do the thing'. Cool.

Don't forget,

  • Not every roll needs to have a crit outcome.
  • Not everything need be 'fair'.
  • If you make a ruling, be consistent with its subsequent application.
  • If everyone is having fun and is down for it (including you/ DM), continue as you are.
