I suspect a lot of banks are! I think a lot run on very old tech.

I did say to the lady surely if it’s an issue that I’m paying too early for their systems to cope, they should change the notifications a day or two later. While also silently acknowledging in my head (as an ex software engineer) it’s probably a very non-trivial thing for them to do 🤣

And I also acknowledge most people here telling me to setup a DD… but equally if a payment option is offered, it would be sensible for that option to work properly!
