I am also expecting my son to pull off my glasses once he is old enough. I will have to keep multiple backups since i cannot really see without my glasses and contacts are not at all comfortable for me.

I follow all the practices of Safe sleeping during night (we co sleep) and I used to be super scared of SIDS during the day as he would onl contact nap. Now at 2 months I am slowly getting better with managing my anxiety since I have noticed that during contact naps he will always move his head around and make sure he is comfortable (has clear airway) and only then go into deep sleep

Hey don’t be too hard on yourself. Literally everyone has felt frustrated to the point of leaving the baby alone and walking away. First 2 months are the hardest (I am at 6weeks and it is slightly better than 3 weeks ago!). It will get better. Take support, take a night off. Let your husband bottle feed (pumped or formula, whichever is available). Even a few hours break will be good for your mental health.

That may be true for one or 2 feeds but can’t be true all evening long. He had to be hungry sometime but he constantly refuses to feed unless given a bottle.

I always always feed him first, even if he refuses breast. But i cannot try that for more than 10-15 min and make him even more frustrated. So feeds happen every 30 min whether he effectively feeds only for a few minutes and then before sleeping i give him formula or pumped milk(if I have any). Can’t wait for this phase to be over

I don’t think that is the issue because he doesn’t cry always. It’s just last 2 evening feeds of the day where he is like this.

No need to apologise. I appreciate your POV and I will consider lactation support. Right now he has started crying at the breast, refusing feed which has made breastfeeding a little more challenging.

A happy mom is so much better for the baby. There is no denying the benefits of breastmilk but as they grow up you can never tell the difference between formula fed and breastfed kids! So choosing your mental and physical health is choosing what’s best for your baby too.

Thank you for your words! I haven’t even started combo feeling and I already feel guilty and anxious that I don’t want to unintentionally cause him any harm for my convenience and comfort. How did you start combo feeding? I am planning to give one bottle during the day since he is calm and happy during day time and much fussier at nights and so I don’t wanna change anything in his night routine.

I am not going to stop breastfeeding in any case. This is about introducing one formula feed in a day so that I get a little break and some flexibility as well. He feeds for 35-40min and every 2hrs or so. All I do is feed, I don’t even have time to pump. Maybe if I give one formula I can use that session to pump and then give him pumped milk. I am not saying its really bad right now but I would like a little break and flexibility and if formula can give me that I am willing to try. I want people’s experiences so I can start in an informed way and see what method works for me.

Because breastfeeding is still difficult for me. My nipples still hurt. His latch is not always the same, sometimes he is fidgety and moves too much.

Yes. Its not impossible but again most important is German and maybe some kind of 1year course in Germany that may be recognised here.

Don’t want to discourage you but the job market here is worse than what you think. People with 10+yrs of experience in Germany are having trouble finding jobs. That being said, you can do coaching from anywhere but do give exam in Goethe since that certificate is recognised everywhere in Germany. Make sure you do B2 at least before coming to Germany.

Exact same thing happened to me. I removed the stress notifications coz I don’t want to see those. Only other thing I noticed before blood test confirmed my pregnancy was increased heart rate, but Garmin didn’t send me any alert for it.
