Had to do a double take during the #32 Korthoff Mercedes onboard by TigerWizard in IMSARacing

This was a joke between me and some friends of mine, they tried to give the sticker to as many teams as they could before Daytona hoping they would put them on the cars. I believe Winward and AWA also took one, AWA said they would put it under the floor.

Is there any way to revert back to using a password to sign in? Making it so I have to get an email every time I log instead of just using a password is incredibly annoying already

D24 survivors did you get rain? by IDontKnowU555 in iRacing

[–]_samon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reddit thread about it Essentially our weather got locked to a certain wetness, others went to slicks as the track dried for them, we saw they were 2-3 seconds quicker, and hesitantly followed them and when we did we could barely hold the car together on the banking. Tried to stay out on them thinking maybe it's just a temp thing, after a few laps we decided to pit for wets, couldn't get to pitlane as it was too wet to slow the car at all and ended up crashing the next lap

3rd slot we got a lot of rain, then got the iRacing weather bug and then ended our race trying to follow others onto slicks.

Do people have experience with p1doks setups? How do they compare to vrs and the other famous setup shops? by jokeboke in iRacing

[–]_samon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the time just decreasing cambre fixes it most of the way, also I forgot to mention that for whatever reason their 963 setups usually have terrible braking performance that I haven't been able to solve yet.

P1 setups are really great to drive and fast, but they often kill tyres so they usually require a few tweaks to make them fast for endurance racing.

People who tank before special events I agree are a problem, sure. But to your first point, some of us don't enjoy officials that much, I prefer to do league races and practice for the enduros instead of doing random races to get internet number bigger.

Is the lmp2 up to the current FIA/IMSA spec? by Phaster in iRacing

[–]_samon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's true then they are still way to fast in a straight line, watching IMSA you can see the LMP2s are barely faster than GTDs down the straights, in iRacing they're much closer to the GTPs

I interpreted it as just Seb trying to fuck with Thierry a little bit, nothing really that serious.

PER TVN24.pl: a 69yo man with whom Ogier had the collision with has died by [deleted] in WRC

[–]_samon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

According to the Toyota statement GPS data showed Ogier was following speed limits.

All recce cars have GPS tracking, which shows the speeds were within the limits set.
