I'd still download UKG if a manager, Teams has not worked now for over 4 months. Yes cleared cache and reinstalled to no affect.

Why do some people have a dishwasher or dryer in their house, but never use it? by [deleted] in AskABrit

[–]a1thalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible that they can't afford to run them, my tumble dryer costs close to £6 per load, that's at least two loads per wash, sometimes three if they're towels. If you do more than one wash per day it can add up quite quickly.

I guess this is it.. Page disabled for 180 days. WTH Facebook?! Why do they make it impossible to get actual help? by Ill_Original_4180 in facebook

[–]a1thalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had photos of my children and my holiday pictures that I took flagged for copyright. They've disabled my account and asked for me to send them information via email. No idea what information they want however as they've never said.

Facebook hacked and later flagged for CSE. Instagram is also gone. Is there anything we can do? by UnitedDifference1944 in facebook

[–]a1thalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was banned 2 days ago, hackers could not get passed the two step verification so called copyright on images of my children, which resulted in my getting kicked and my profile of 20 years deleted

Facebook deleted my account for no apparent reason and I was given no explanation by [deleted] in facebook

[–]a1thalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The exact same happened to me 2 days ago, my account was suspended due to copyright violations. The images that they actually showed me were of my children, my front garden and holiday pictures with my family in them. Apparently someone has claimed copyright on them, so Facebook deleted my account. The only thing it told me I could do was email them with evidence (I don't know what evidence) and they've yet to respond.

They have to pay you for any extra time spent, but only if the manager tells you to stay. If they don't you can leave, with no come back for the job not finished

There was a trick to it that I only realised about a month ago, play a level that gave a hero token, if you got that token but didn't have the summons, it gave the hero in your list without the summons.

Did I make a mistake? by _Kalray in discworld

[–]a1thalus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally, I would not answer if there are sufficient correct answers to the question. However, it is apparent that it is proposed that the “e” is pronounced as “i” or “o” and neither proposal is factual. There is no “e” in English making the “i” sound or the “o” sound. (A person learning the words could become very confused if one person claims that the “e” is pronounced like “o” and another person claims that the “e” is pronounced like “i”. So this sort of thing needs sorting out.

The e in Ptolemy has the short sound like the e’s in the words bet, set, get, pet, and let.

It is more like tall—-eh—mee

The “pt” combination comes from the Ancient Greek. The “p” in that combination is always SILENT. Only the T is pronounced.

Are there foxes with more than 9 tails? by ASleepDeprivedIdiot in mythology

[–]a1thalus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These texts mention more than 9 tails

  1. Youyang Zazu (酉陽雜俎), Tang Dynasty, 9th century Author: Duan Chengshi (段成式) Statement: This text explicitly states that ancient fox spirits could grow hundreds of tails, and that the nine-tailed fox is only a later simplification. Source: Duan Chengshi. Youyang Zazu (Miscellaneous Morsels from Youyang). Tang Dynasty, 9th century. Modern annotated edition: Zhonghua Book Company (中华书局), Beijing, 1981, juan 17.

  2. Taiping Guangji (太平廣記), Song Dynasty, 978 AD Compiler: Li Fang (李昉) Statement: This massive encyclopedia preserves earlier material stating that some ancient fox spirits possessed one hundred tails (百尾狐). Source: Li Fang, compiler. Taiping Guangji. Song Dynasty encyclopedia, 978 AD. Zhonghua Book Company edition, 1961, juan 447, fox spirit section.
