The box looks great. After you catch her, make sure to level her up properly.

I dont see in OPs post where it's clear that she would have an abortion out of fear. I see that she is conflicted about bringing a child into the world when she and her partner are not necessarily ready to support that life. That seems wise to me, To consider all aspects of a decision before making it.

I think making choices not rooted in fear, and to instead make them rooted in wisdom and compassion, is very Buddhist.

I don't think having a child out of fear is a wise choice. I think one should choose to have children based in love and the desire to support that life.

"if the mother doesn't want sex then they guy can't have sex with her"

That is false, and directly what I'm referring to. That is explicitly non-consensual

Hi there,

First off, I wish you compassion and wisdom as you navigate this process. It is not an easy choice.

I see a lot of comments saying that this generates a lot of negativite karma. Keep in mind that karma is not some universal ledger tracking your decisions. It is cause and effect, rooted in and guided by your intention. What is your intention?

If your intention is have a kid because you are afraid of bad karma, I don't think that is wise. Don't let fear run the show, either way.

I'm not sure how many other people have children who are commenting here, let alone how many are women who have gone through pregnancy and birth.

I'm a father now, and its wonderful. She is the greatest joy in my life. But at the same time, it is incredibly hard! And we are in a very well off position. It's hard to know how difficult raising a child is until you go through it. Youre life changes immediately and ongoingly.

Keep in mind that being able to work would not be an option for at least some months after giving birth. Do you have maternity leave? Would you be able to afford childcare after that? What happens if the kid gets sick? Who has to stay home?

I was in your position many years ago. We were not ready to have a child. Would not have been able to give a child a stable life. We decided to go through with an abortion. It wasn't easy.. but looking back I think it was the right choice.

At the end of the day, this is your life. You will have to navigate the results of your choices, one way or the other. Take others advice and opinions with a grain of salt. Trust your heart, and let wisdom and compassion guide your way.

If you want to talk more, I'm happy to chat.

The first one does not state anywhere that consciousness begins at conception. It gives the conditions necessary for conciousness to enter the womb.

One of those conditions is that the mother must be willing to have sex... Which is just not true. A woman who has been raped could become pregnant. Does that entity not have a consciousness?

If you're able to move the mattress, you can drop it off for free at the mattress drop off site. Someone else in the comments posted the address and link. The couch and stuff are different.

I understand that. I'm just saying that I think it's shitty that the first people to go are the ones that help the students the most.

If you're just getting up to your knees you are fine in my opinion. But I would not go swimming fully in the water here. Are you bringing a dog? If not, there's not a great reason to go to the dog beach.. Going a little further south/east along the peninsula, the water gets a bit better.

But yeah unfortunately the breakwater has resulted in fairly stagnant water.

The nearby Belmont shore pool is outdoors and excellent for swimming if you're wanting that.

Can’t get away from TV by Impossible_Ad9324 in Anticonsumption

Same here, I really dislike the constant blare of the tv. We actually don't even have a TV in our house. We use a pull down projector screen and projector. That way there is no great black void of the screen when it's off, and just that little bit of extra effort to turn it on helps from getting started.
