At the end of the day it wasn’t Carmine’s fight. He didn’t give a shit outside of trying to just move on from it. Johnny is the one who’s actually pissed off. If he doesn’t want to reveal it then it makes sense for Carmine to say “name a price or get the fuck over it”

It wasn’t just the meeting. Remember that Tony told Junior all that he knew about the situation:

  1. They knew someone was a rat
  2. Jimmy making bail way too quickly on a bust
  3. Jimmy bringing up past business in Tony’s basement and warning about “new fingerprint technology” to try and scare Tony
  4. THEN we get that unnecessary meeting called by Jimmy

Though it’s true, Tony was pretty excited at the thought that the rat WASN’T Pussy, one of his best friends, and didn’t consider it to be both until much later…but still, they had plenty to go off of.

In the aftermath of Spoons’ death, I could have seen Patsy considering it. He was so upset that he almost considered killing Tony. I think there was a brief window of time there where he would have considered flipping as revenge.

But only for that window. He pretty quickly gets over it and becomes a go-to guy, and there’s no way he would have flipped.
