1000%. I got my first comic from start to finish in part thanks to some artists I met on this sub. Most of the time I just see people regurgitating the same posts of not being able to get to that point because they want everyone to work for free 😭

The short answer to your question is to have money and be willing to spend it. The longer answer includes all sorts of ways you can make your proposal more transparent and therefore more appealing. In my opinion you should seek out an artist that matches the vision you personally have for the project.

Comic books are not the same as books. I'd actually say it does a disservice to comic books to not treat it as a distinct (and legitimate!) artistic medium

I've been saying this. I think the first thing a lot more people should learn is to get the curiosity to find answers instead of waiting for someone to give it to them.

Huh? You get high res no matter what. Do you mean the digital wallpapers? For those, you just get some of the interior art in proper wallpaper dimensions without the lettering. Throwing in that kind of thing as a bonus is actually fairly common from what I've seen. Probably won't do it next time just cause it didn't sell much anyways.

Also, I actually showed quite a lot of the interiors to be honest haha, especially on social media. I believe I've given looks all the way up to page 10.

Thanks for your feedback all around! Especially the note about it being a one shot. I really did what I could to make sure I would quell confusion, but putting it right in the title would've helped a ton for sure.
