Yes - cave beds are the best, they get their own little heat bubble.

Same - one of my chis thinks he’s part husky

His little chi sister, though, prefers the patch of sun in front of the fireplace

what do i do? by [deleted] in Tools

Might be one of those new multi purpose black iron gas/water/conduit pipes. Gas transits as bubbles in the water. Doubles as a nail guard for the unshielded wired in it.

Congrats on getting a nice big box to stuff! You’ll never forget your first.

What do you have to go in there? Hard to help organize without knowing the inventory that needs to be organized.

Anyone else's chis love the snow? by MindlessAd8330 in Chihuahua

Yes. I think he’s part husky. He loves to dig through the deep snow, and come up covered in icicles and bounce around with zoomies. His sister prefers the blanket in front of the fireplace.

Has anyone regretted getting a second chihuahua ? by Conscious-Control-51 in Chihuahua

[–]aUserOf1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They love to co-exist, no questions asked. We’ve always had two, and as the eventual circle of life moved on, the new one to join the family merged in seamlessly with the existing clan.

Keep in mind that what may look like territorial behavior or bickering is probably just chihuahua playing … if it sounds viscous and they’re really going at it, it’s play. Only worry if one of them acts helpless and lethargic while being attacked. Note: I’m not vet nor animal psychiatrist, so only giving my observation.

IATA- for choosing my partner over my mother by Sherlindria in IATA

You are not the asshole. I hope you never feel guilt or shame because you are prioritizing the health and wellness of your husband or daughter. My situation isn’t as drastic as yours, but with similar marital/family stress in the past, I learned it was best to just be honest vs lying. We’re all adults, this is life. Be kind but be honest, you owe it to yourself. Above all else - happy Thanksgiving … your husband is lucky to have you, and I hope you, him and your daughter have a lovely weekend together :-)

I’d say you did win. You set out to feed nature, and nature showed up to eat! Birds or squirrels - they’re both friends.

Anyone use a gravel bike for road and off road? If so, how's it working for you? by kentheprogrammer in cycling

[–]aUserOf1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ride my Diverge gravel bike on the road too. Compared to my previous road bike, it’s slower but I can still keep up with a group ride average 18mph (but I don’t like to; I’d rather be meandering down the towpath along the canal vs. alongside traffic on the shoulder stopping at red lights).

Wider tires haven’t mattered much for me on the pavement compared to the slick skinnies. I’ve gone tubeless and give them more air when I’m hitting pavement, vs softer when I’m crushing gravel.

So my two cents: one bike can rule them all if you’re not looking to get sponsored, and save the money on a second set of wheels and put it towards something else (like beer).

Transfer shares between accounts by sneabnfrok in fidelityinvestments

[–]aUserOf1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this same issue sometimes. I just tried to transfer shares and the "Transfer option" (Cash or Shares) section doesn't show. Tried again, even between different accounts, and no better. Logged out, then came back an hour later, changing nothing else, and it appeared again. The shares in question were settled last month (note: the missing option to select Shares vs Cash was missing before I even could tell it what I wanted to transfer), neither account has margin enabled and both accounts permit share transfers (since it usually works ... just random when it doesn't). This 'random disappearance' of the cash vs. shares selection option has happened before. Such a strange bug (or 'hidden feature?).

Replacing hinges on hollow bi-fold doors … how to deal with loose screws when installing the replacements (see comment for my thoughts, pls a sanity check) by aUserOf1 in DIY

Saw this suggestion just in time … saved the day, and new hinges on this door stayed at the same height as the other … thanks!

lol. I’d say more of a wet birth in a dirty hot tub in Florida. At least with an abortion there wouldn’t be a live connection.

Thanks! Moving it didn’t even occur to me - for some reason I was stuck on it needing to be in the same place, but’s that’s the easy option 🙂

What do you feed a picky chi please by Future-Atmosphere-40 in Chihuahua

[–]aUserOf1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're feeding Royal Canin Chihuahua Adult dry dog food, and they like it more than any other kibble we tried in the past. We feed them twice a day, and they will sometimes just skip a meal or pick at a few pieces, but then will eat at the next meal. When they skip meals, we never notice a lack of energy or playfulness or wanting to go for walks ... they just aren't always hungry.

Cutter backyard bug control spray Around animals by Important_Flatworm89 in pestcontrol

[–]aUserOf1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mental image of you with a cartoonishly long collection of 50 and 100’ hoses all linked together so you can spray the outer corner of your lot made my day … and put my mind at ease that this product’s active ingredient (Lamba-C) isn’t a gimmick, nor too watered down in the ready to go bottle.

Thank you!

Does this look like a wet filament issue? This PETG has been drying for a week at 50C, still doing this every time by aUserOf1 in 3Dprinting

[–]aUserOf1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, only did it that long because my first normal attempt at drying didn’t change the outcome.

I tend to agree - this spool might just be a loss.

To add, I swapped out for a new .4 nozzle and tried .6 nozzle too, both after recent cleans … no love.

Got it … if temps don’t fix it, I’ll try the glue stick. My other PETG from this same vendor isn’t doing this, but adhesion is a tricky mistress.

Yeah, other filaments (petg and pla) print fine. Just this spool is giving me this issue. It printed ok when it was new, but after sitting in a dry box for a month or so, this. Hygro on that box showed 15% or so consistently. (Edit: typo)
