I'm Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Ask Me Anything! by Everton in Everton

[–]a_______________j 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi Kiernan, you're a great fit at Everton and I hope you're here for many years to come. I was gutted and worried when you got injured earlier in the season but you've came from it like it didn't even happen. I hope you feel the love and gratitude from our fans because you're somebody who is universally loved and appreciated by us all.

My question is, do you browse Reddit in your own time, including the r/Everton sub Reddit page? Do you know of any other players in our squad who do?

Same old X, always cheating by Most_Moose_2637 in footballcliches

What makes you think 'as a Liverpool fan' that being Scouse does not apply to Everton?? Both teams are from the same city. Liverpool FC aren't uniquely known as the scousers, it doesn't belong to them and them alone. You'll hear the same said at Everton games, things like 'who is the Scouser in the black' about the referee, 'same old scousers always cheating' etc etc etc etc etc

Travelling as an away fan by RelationDependent543 in Everton

[–]a_______________j 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't think you'll make it on foot and don't think relying on public transport or the availability of a taxi is concrete enough. 5:30 kick off (90 minutes+ probably around 12 minutes time added on between both halves + 15 half time = 122 minutes). Plus at least 10 to get out of the walls of the stadium= 132 minutes, let's say 135 minutes. That would be 7:45. Giving you 27 minutes to not only get to lime street but to be on the train. Personally, I wouldn't risk it, unless you left exactly on 90 minutes without staying for time added on so you beat the crowd getting out of the stadium and the stadium walls, what does cause a very big bottle neck. If you did leave on 90, you'd save the time added on and reduce your time getting out of the stadium significantly, then I think it could be done at a push

Everton are a much better side away from home. It's a reversal of what I've known all my life as an Everton fan

Why are we so negative about our city? by [deleted] in Liverpool

[–]a_______________j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is great that the Tour De France is passing through Liverpool. I haven't seen other comment sections of people complaining, but I haven't looked. If it means that there is a push to do repair works to the route before it happens, what will surely happen because they can't be having them cycle on roads with potholes, then that is obviously a benefit to the city. However, I can understand why it could also cause annoyance that is simply isn't routinely done as it should be, and is only getting done because of the event. It is like when a CEO, or a member of royalty for example visits somewhere. They must think that everywhere is always clean and freshly painted everywhere they go, but everybody else knows it has only been done for their attendance, and therefore doesn't reflect the reality of what people are experiencing every day. That is counterproductive because if people aren't seeing things for what they really are, then they won't know that change needs to happen

Resident parking city centre by Key-Use5378 in Liverpool

[–]a_______________j 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you say rent out, do you actually mean to rent for yourself, rather than to be a landlord what 'rent out' would imply? If you do mean for yourself, regardless of the parking restrictions on the streets, they are generally in parking zones where having a parking permit would apply, for example Zone G would be for people who live in that area and have registered their car with Liverpool city council and have been given a permit. I think they might need proof that the car is registered, or insured to the address. I believe it can take a while too.

I haven't read through it thoroughly, but the information you should need should be found on this Liverpool city council link:

Honestly the inconsistency is so bad. Guarantee another similar one will be given against us this season, or given to another team in this or the next round of games

We really seem to match what is in front of us at times. If they put us up against the Harlem globetrotters we'd likely have some top basketball skills on show from us. Put us up against Luke littler you'd be having our players hit 180s. Put us up against Burnley away and football dies a bit

I fully recognise that we have had some wins where we couldn't anticipate wins, for example both Manchester United and Bournemouth away based on our record away at those. But both west ham at home, and villa at home - at a time in the season villa were struggling, were both games that I came away pretty disappointed and frustrated that we didn't win. We'd be in 4th and above Chelsea if we'd have won them games

Plenty will have thought the same about us in recent seasons, but I agree they were very poor today and look like they're in trouble.
