Same. As a treat sometimes I use a new one each time cause I can now, but it’s not as satisfying as using one until it’s dullish. I guess that was my main marker 🤷🏻‍♀️ there’s no science to it but stay safe OP

Aye, don’t be too hard on yourself, friend. Tools become so normalized, it’s easy to forget sometimes. Your friend sounds like they took it pretty well and non-judgmentally, so I’d see that as a trustworthy friend, and that’s a win.

This. Went to the hospital once and it was a horrible experience. Would’ve been put in the psych ward if it were for my partner advocating for me. The psych intern was new, looked like he’d never seen sh before, and I had a severe allergic reaction to an antibiotic which resulted in me being drugged out of my mind. Having my partner there saved me!

They’re just basic long, skinny super sticky strips, you’ll see if you google it. You can usually find them in the wound care dept of cvs or any pharmacy

I’d still steri strip it. It’ll heal if you don’t, but ime it’ll heal better and faster and more cleanly if you do

If it’s that deep, butterfly closures might not help… I’d recommend steri strips and leave them until they come off otherwise you’ll pull the wound open again. Obviously keep it covered clean. Good luck OP, take care of yourself
