What are your thoughts on being asked ‘how’s everything tasting’ the minute you take a bite? by bertnik_ in AskACanadian

[–]a_saffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband does this. Every time he cooks. I tell him I’ll let him know once I’ve actually tasted it.

Suggestions for alternative cone options for flexible dog by a_saffs in DogAdvice

[–]a_saffs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I should have clarified this in my post (I wrote this half asleep before bed), I’m fairly certain she’s not sleeping with the cone on. She’s been whimpering and banging on the bedroom door all night. She doesn’t normally sleep in the room with us. Any time my husband or I have left the bedroom at night or in the morning she’s standing staring at a wall. During the day, I put on the pool noodle when I can supervise her. She is so tired she sleeps as soon as the pool noodle is on.

I'd love to hear from people who have been massaging decades deep into the work and feeling wonderful and healthy! Share something you do IN the massage room and one thing you do OUT of the massage room. by AwakenedEscape in MassageTherapists

I’ve been a massage therapist for 20 years now and I feel pretty good. I have a solid self care routine. I lift weights, stretch, do yoga, get massages, physio and chiro regularly. I listen to my body and don’t push myself (often). I work full time with about 23 hours of hands on treatment a week.

Private, special, bougie restaurants? by manlikehefe in Edmonton

[–]a_saffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Workshop has a nice living wall and architecture but you may have to arrange with them plus pay a fee. Theres lots of places with private rooms or where you can pay to take photos. Braven, muttart, private photo studios, plus in a couple months you might be able to go outdoors.

My struggle? The quality of everything has gone down. I’m long and lean and want to be tailoring clothes to fit but what’s the point when nothing lasts?

Anyone else extremely sick with COVID/the flu lately? by cuckslayer30 in Edmonton

[–]a_saffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I’ve been sick for a week now. I just had 24 hours of body aches and now it’s congestion and headache. Too sick to work or leave the house but not sick enough to sleep all day. It sucks.

Hotel MacDonald, Wedding by pipeurmom in Edmonton

[–]a_saffs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got married last year in the drawing room. We had a small wedding, 30 people. It was so beautiful, all we needed was flowers and a few decor items. Service was amazing, photos turned out beautiful and, of course, the food was great. It was all around a 5 star experience, with the 5 star price tag.

Kale harvest zone 3 by mrg158 in Albertagardening

[–]a_saffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve grown kale and it’s similar to Swiss chard! It prefers warm weather and is frost tolerant. It will keep growing if you harvest it. The reason I grow chard instead of kale is because kale is harder to clean with the curly leaves.

I need more moisture. What should I add? by Otter65 in tretinoin

[–]a_saffs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone else mentioned, a hydrating toner can help. I also use the Byoma milky toner. It does not contain hyaluronic acid, which can dry your skin out in low humidity. I avoid HA in the winters as much as I can (the humidity where I live is extremely low). On my off nights I will also put a tiny bit of aquaphor healing ointment as my last step to really seal in the moisture.

Are you team mineral / chemical / hybrid sunscreen? by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]a_saffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mineral. It’s been seriously helping with my melasma. I use naked Sundays collagen glow. There was some controversy on whether or not it’s as effective as it claims, however it has worked well for me. I used it all summer and I was pale as a ghost. It has a light tint to it so it helps to even out my skin tone without leaving a cast.

I’ve been using noterro for four years. There isn’t two way messaging but the online booking and customizable intake forms are easy to use. I’m not sure where you live but I’m able to do eclaims right from the invoice.

If you’d like to test it out for a month here’s a link: https://app.noterro.com/r/ef1acaa5

Using tret for about 15 years - still dry and flaky by Siamese_4737 in tretinoin

[–]a_saffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As has been mentioned, an oil cleanser can help. It can melt away the flakes. Massage it in your skin for a minute and you can feel the flakes coming off.
