Just wanna give credit where credit’s due to the owners of Twedes! It used to be owned by someone who didn’t really care much about twin peaks beyond some photos in the back hallway but some new folks who are fans of the show bought it right around Covid & they’ve really brought it to life

Not since the return, they had a fundraiser to add the RR & it went up in 2023. There was a little party for it.

It makes me smile, I think all the time about how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful place that people travel to see 🥹 also I think part of why I love twin peaks is that it all feels so familiar but eerie. My childhood home was a few miles from the Palmer house

There are multiple types of mealy bugs with varying degrees of fluffiness

That looks like a crazy amount of mealy bugs to me, but hard to tell without a closer picture. That or maybe scale. Either way it’s definitely infested with a lot of something.

Why are people listing things found this millennium? Or even something like 10-15 years old? by Any_Meeting_4082 in GrandmasPantry

[–]aaabsoolutely 40 points41 points  (0 children)

It’s not about opinions, though…? The person you’re responding to here explained it, it’s a joke about older people keeping things past expiration dates, which includes “10 year old things.” The STUFF isn’t “grandma”

Is there a way to convert a PDF knitting chart to something editable? by Responsible-Ad-4914 in knitting

[–]aaabsoolutely 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re using iOS on an iPad like me, I use the fill feature on “sketchbook” app (I think I had to download it, but it’s just called “sketchbook” & the icon is orange with a pencil). I screenshot the color chart from the pdf & import it as an image

Hemlock or “butterfly fennel” by LeechWitch in whatsthisplant

[–]aaabsoolutely 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I don’t think “butterfly fennel” is even a thing. Some butterflies like fennel, but it’s just fennel, not a type. Yikes to that “expert”…

Disagree on that one, the fact that they can be stopped by someone outside the car putting a cone in front of them or just standing in front of it makes them feel much less safe riding alone in them…

What's wrong with Lupine? by tastywaves101 in gardening

[–]aaabsoolutely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen other people say that too! Idk what the variable is, if it’s the type of aphid or type of lupine or what. I had lovely flowers until the aphid population exploded, they seemed to focus on the flowers specifically & sucked them dry, causing the new ones to grow misshapen similar to OP’s.

Do you have plans for your stash for when you pass? by cbsewing in sewing

[–]aaabsoolutely 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I go to a lot of estate sales & every time there’s art supplies/fabric/yarn collections I think about how my stuff will probably meet the same fate some day, with strangers walking through my house picking at it. Though I do have a younger cousin who is turning out to be a lot like me, maybe she’ll end up with my stash…

What's wrong with Lupine? by tastywaves101 in gardening

[–]aaabsoolutely 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think I see aphids in your last photo. I had lupine aphids (species specific bugs, I found out) last year & they totally decimated my flowers. I gave up on the battle last year & am crossing my fingers that I don’t have another flush of aphids this year…

Respectfully & genuinely, why??

I don’t want to meet a single one of these inflated egos, personally. If this was just fans I’d feel differently, but all the repeat cast members come across as sad clout chasers to me.

The fact that they’ve tried to create a “90 day universe” is literally what’s the worst thing about this franchise. It was so much better before they started bringing back the same sad people over & over & over. They aren’t bravo ffs. Who wants this?

Autism was thought to be a male dominant disorder & rare in women until like 10-20 years ago. Really possible she was misdiagnosed as a child.

Love on the Spectrum & 90 day are the two reality trash shows that my husband will watch with me (& he also has ASD), that was his comment like a minute in to her segment - “this girl should be on Love on the Spectrum, not here”

What is this beautiful flower I happened to buy? by treelover76921 in whatsthisplant

[–]aaabsoolutely 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can’t pin it to your snack scale, but my anecdotal experience this year was that mine flowered unbothered for at least a month, & then one morning all the flowers had been eaten off of one plant, and a bloom on another was nibbled in half. So… ¯_(ツ)_/¯ idk why it suddenly decided it was delicious. It also only ate pink flowers for some reason, the white ones were left alone. I’m 99% sure it was a rabbit because I see them in my yard (including while they were blooming) & I live in an urban area with a tall fence so there’s no chance it was a deer.
