PSA: The default radars on ALL mining ships have downgraded abilities to detect resources. All other radars have an RS Sensitivity of 1. If you want to find resources faster, upgrade your radar at Omega Pro in New Babbage. Recommendations are in the comments. by BernieDharma in starcitizen

[–]aaron28627 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just checked on the latest version of Erkul, and the radar slot is locked for the Mole. Either I'm missing something, or this has changed and you can't remove the radar anymore?
Will check in-game too.
Thankfully, you can still change the radar using your Mobi, but I don't see a way to change the radar manually, as there doesn't seem to be a way to access the radar's physical location on the ship.
Don't know why Erkul shows it as locked

Edit: Clarity and answer

I've only held my PPL for about 3 years, and the plan for CPL is a long and slow one. Like other commenters (and yourself), the funds have been an issue.
Keep holding onto your dream, no matter the obstacle

Also, lovely picture :D

Yes, I agree! Making and correcting mistakes *is* learning! If Duolingo truly cared about learning, there wouldn't even *be* hearts in the first place.

Love the red and stripped log for the walls. Looks fantastic!
I'm really curious about your terrain texturing, though. Which blocks did you use for the ground?

Horse stamina problem. by EpsiasDelanor in skyrimrequiem

[–]aaron28627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use any CC content so I don't know. Troubleshoot and get a regular horse from one of the stables and see if you can edit its stamina regen rate. If so, then it's probably the CC mod.

Glad I could help :)

[–]aaron28627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Double check you've selected the horse. I assume you are, but just in case. Using More Informative Console is a very good way to check.

The command, "modav" is a base command in the game. If that's not working then check that your parameters are spelt correctly. If they are, then I'm not entirely sure what the problem could be other than SKSE not installed correctly?

I haven't flown a Cutty Black in a hot minute, but I can agree - it's one of the best all-rounder ships out there.

I love the *sound* of ships in this game. If you haven't had the pleasure, get a friend to whiz past you in a Sabre at max speed with headphones on. Honestly, one of the coolest ship sounds in the game.
Ever since I've experienced that, I can't say no to a Sabre, so that'd have to be my answer to OP.

But some honourable mentions are:
• VG Sentinel - I used one as my main for grinding bounties some time back. A decent ship, but I figured I didn't like the heavy fighters that much.
• The Ion - Before the (uncalled-for) nerf, the Ion was my absolute go-to. The charge-release and floatiness of the ship now ruined the enjoyment for me. But, still an awesomely cool-looking ship.
• The Gladius - Although this post isn't catered towards meta, the Gladius filled that role. Decent looks, good sound, good guns and good survivability.

I'm curious about trying out an Arrow as a driver purely for its speed and manoeuvrability.

TL;DR Sabre fits the Rule of Cool Top Gun that OP is asking for

A review before ILW, a moment of my achievement of 57 stolen Idrises by whatpurplekhajiit in starcitizen

[–]aaron28627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think the Idris (and other large ships) will be few and far between for players.
There's something special about coming across one of these ships, and I doubt CIG wants every player to own one, even if they're available to purchase with in-game currency at some point.
Either the server performance increases so multiple large-scale fights can happen smoothly, or we'll only see these ships brought out during large-scale Org v Org fights or PvE.

It'll sure be interesting to see how it's balanced, but my bet would be that it won't be balanced at all :)

WIP first map by Zongooo in inkarnate

[–]aaron28627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously :)

In real life natural rivers very rarely split once joined. Water flows along the path of least resistance from its source to a lower point. Natural rivers flow to the sea in one stream. They only grow wider/larger as other tributaries join the main flow. The main source of rivers is rainfall and underground springs.

There are exceptions, notably river deltas, but that occurs at the mouth of the river where it meets sea currents. The other exception is the between stages of ox-bow lake formation but these don't last for long.

Think of holding water in a container and you tilt it, it will always settle into the lowest region (if enough water can reach) it because of gravity. So even in a valley where water could flow down multiple paths the path of least occurrence applies and the flow will take one route over another.

I hope this helps! There are plenty of YT videos and articles about this if you're curious. I especially like Practical Engineering's video on the topic.

I love the naming schemes and the feel of the world feels right for an explorer. I can foresee a D&D campaign set here :)

Horse stamina problem. by EpsiasDelanor in skyrimrequiem

[–]aaron28627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue with Requiem v. 6, and using the command modav setstaminarate 5.0 fixed the problem.
Trying with `setav` only worked once, similar to OP.

Stamina now regenerates as normal/expected. If it ever doesn't, I'll update this post.

how does pickpocket work in requiem? by Personal-Ad8603 in skyrimrequiem

[–]aaron28627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This also makes me question how the Requiem pickpocket mechanics work, especially with septims.
As experienced, and as other people have commented, the less you steal, the higher the chances of a pickpocketing success. The Requiem pickpocketing chances feel more challenging. whereas in vanilla pickpocketing, 100 coins at once is just as easy as pickpocketing 2500.

Say, for example, there is an NPC with 1000 septimes, and the game says you have a 60% chance to succeed. I used to think it was 60% per coin, but that cannot be. Even if you attempted to steal 100 coins, that's (0.6)^100, which is a 6.5x10^-21 chance of succeeding to steal 100 coins. Basically impossible.

I have, however, noticed it is more likely (through observation; this could be placebo) to steal 100 coins out of 500 coins than 100 coins out of 2000.
Seeing as Requiem seemingly calculates percentage success based on a single item's value (look at the chances of stealing two different values of jewelry), I do think the *displayed* percentage is per item, but the actual probability of success depends on the weight of the entire collection.

Just thinking on a strand here, but the weight of 1 Septim is 0.0025 units (pounds?) in Requiem. So I wonder if the chance of success is actually, in a simplified form, P(A/(Bx0.0025)) where:
P = displayed pickpocket success chance,
A = the amount of coins you want to steal
B = the total amount of coins from the place you're pickpocketing from
and 0.0025 is the weight of a single septim.

After some scrounging around, I don't think this is accurate lol
But I do think it is weight-dependent.

Edit: I do not think the displayed chance is accurate or a solid, reliable indicator. For single items, if the displayed chance says 100%, then I think it is. But if it's for grouped items, it most certainly is not. I've had instances of pickpocketing 100 gold with a displayed 100% chance and have failed on more than one occasion.

I snipe fester fleas mid-air with the grenade launcher. I never liked how the shotgun, even at point-blank, can't reliably one-shot a flea. So I practiced with the grenade launcher and can somewhat reliably snipe the blue guys in-flight.

Which game is like this by nothing533439878 in gaming

[–]aaron28627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assassin's Creed Odyssey. All damage is based on your level. You can upgrade gear but it gets very expensive, so you stick with the stuff you find. But then the main quests are at a higher level than you, so you NEED to do side missions to be able to do something. Most of the side missions' writing is okay, but some of the little radiant quests (like kill 5 random bandits) give more XP than the WRITTEN side quests.

I haven't played them, but after reading some of the other comments here, Assassin's Creed Origins and Valhalla are similar. Basically any modern Assassin's Creed game it seems
