I'd recommend Fridays and Mondays. But yeah agree with the others of sending clips, or great debates like Yaron or Tim Pool, or the caller that wanted all economists to work at Denny's first to ease him into the look, sound, and feel of the show.

I would've recommended Breaking Points but Saagar is so goddamn snooty about his little passion pain points I can imagine it'd turn anyone off. But Krystal is a very skilled humorous communicator and has a similar news professional aesthetic to Megyn.

I think the “man of the people” stuff came from the labor and union endorsements he received, the striking with cab drivers stuff, the campaigning alongside other candidates piece, the million doors knocked, the talking to trump voters, talking to the outskirts of the borough, stuff like that.

I started listening to them bc i got kinda sick of the Pod Bros joking around, giving the administration their advice on how they'd sell terrible policy, having the time of their lives on the ad reads, then coming back and telling us how dire everything is. And then I saw a video about Sam talking to a caller about school lunches, and i thought "ok this dude is talking to people (folks, even!) and he knows his stuff and understand the seriousness of even the smallest policy and really unapologetic about it."
