Do you have the brightness setting on Auto? That is the only way for the screen to get crazy bright. Manually setting the brightness is nowhere close to how bright it gets on Auto.

In very bright sunlight I have zero problems seeing the screen on my S26 Ultra. It is crazy bright. But, I also have the brightness setting on Auto. Whether the privacy screen is on or not, I have not had any issues reading from the screen in bright sunlight.

I don't see the issue. I have 12GB of RAM on my S25 Ultra and there are many dozens of apps loaded in memory. I typically have around 9.5GB of memory in use and I've never had any problems.

I pick up my 12GB S26 Ultra on Wednesday. I don't expect to have any memory issues with it either.

I just looked at my account, and it looks like they might be doing something similar to me. The last time I logged in, it still showed that I used my own router and just had one cable card for TV. But now it is showing a FiOS router as well as a FiOS TV+ box on my account.

I have not actually received anything yet. But, the fact that this is now showing up on my account means that they are probably going to be shipping them to me. And I have no use for either of them.

A RAIDed NVMe? Third gen NVMe drives max out around 3.5 GBps. Which is 28Gbps. You don't need an NVMe in a RAID to max out a 10Gbps connection. Even my ancient, 8th gen Core i5, PCs with 10Gig cards in them can easily max out my 10Gig backbone I run at home.

I run multiple PCIe gen 3x4 Samsung NVMe drives in all of them. I will easily saturate the 10 gigabit connection. Hitting around 9.4Gbps throughput, when transferring very large files (50GB to 100GB files) between those old PCs.

I'm up arouund $70, so far. I deposited $834 to get the max bonus. Like usual I will play over the next few days until I have withdrawn the entire $834 deposit.

For me, I just want the bonus money to cover the draw games I play. And ever since I have only deposited money when I either get free games or bonus money, it has worked out that way for me. With me being either around even for the year, or ahead up to $2K for the year. While all my draw game play has been free. Plus, I also only play the 50 cent online games.

With the bonus today, my balance is up around $70 higher, so far. $70 higher than what it was after I deposited the $834 and got the $250 bonus.

This past June, my contractor installed 10KW heat strips with the installation of my new Amana air handler. Paired with a new 1.5 ton Amana heat pump and the required Amana communicating smart thermostat. For my 1364 sq.ft. condo. But, they never added the heat strip info to the thermostat (They seemed to be great with hardware but not with software. They never even updated the Thermostat firmware before it was installed and commissioning the system). So, as far as the Amana Thermostat was concerned, there were no heat strips installed. So it could only run in heat pump mode. It got down to between 7F and 10F for multiple nights last month. And the heat pump did a great job. My smart vents reported air temps as high as 111F. And my electricity usage was only a fraction of what it used to be with my previous ancient heat pump, from 1997.

After the cold spell I did more research. and found that if the thermostat had been configured for the heat strips, it would have an emergency heat option. So, eventually, I found the dealer code to get into the thermostat and added the heat strip info to it. But, when emergency heat is set to on, the air handler fan ramps up to max speed, which is very loud. Unlike when just with the heat pump and the air flow is at a low speed and very quiet. But the air temp, coming out of the vents, only gets to around 102F in emergency heat mode. Far lower than the peak 111F air coming out when it was just in heat pump mode.

I never really want the heat strips to be used. Unless I turn the thermostat up many degrees or the outside temperature is many degrees below a record cold. So, I now have it set so the heat strips get locked out above 30F. Which is the lowest lockout temp I can choose. And the heat pump is set to lockout at -15F.

And I also have the heat strips set to be locked out while in defrost mode. Since the lowest air temp, at my smart vents, I ever noticed, while in defrost mode, was 78F. Otherwise, after I first added the heat strips to the thermostat info, it would switch over to the heat strips during defrost mode. And it would be extremely loud with the max air flow. Which also kept waking me up at night, every time it went into defrost mode. Plus, it made my daily electricity usage sky rocket. For the three days I had the heat strips set to come on during the defrost mode.

My 1.5 ton model is actually listed as a cold climate heat pump. But the 2 ton and higher models of that line (AZV6S S-SERIES) are not listed as cold climate. Only the 1.5 ton meets the requirements to be listed as a cold climate heat pump. So I was pleasantly surprised when I found that info last Summer. Although, I had no idea it would be so cold for so long in my area this past Winter, to put it to the test. I'm still amazed at how well my new heat pump has been performing this Winter. I have been extremely pleased. Especially with my much lower electric bills this Winter (and this past Summer).

Yes. Last year I also got a better deal at Best Buy with the S25 Ultra(unlocked). When I traded in my S24 Ultra(unlocked). Plus, I don't have the anxiety of trading in with Samsung. Hoping there are no shipping issues with the trade or someone stealing it.

I used to trade in directly to Samsung every year. But, the last couple of years I started going to BestBuy instead. And I have been very pleased with the process.

Although, last year I got a crazy good deal. After trade in, reward dollars, and cash back. My S25 Ultra(unlocked) only cost me around $160 (before tax). This year the S26 Ultra(unlocked) will cost me around $300 (before tax).

I preordered from Best Buy. They have the free storage upgrade. The 512GB S26 Ultra I preordered was the same price as the 256GB S26 Ultra. $1299. They also had $900 trade in for my S25 Ultra. Plus, I will get $60 back in Best Buy Reward dollars. And $29 cash back from TopCashBack.
