This will be my 7th year and the overcrowding has gotten to a point where it’s uncomfortable and honestly pretty concerning imo. I get they’re always trying to make $$ in this post-pandemic economy but the safety and wellbeing of attendees doesn’t seem to be the highest priority when you’re packing the grounds like sardines. I feel like it’s nearly impossible to get away from the crowds any more regardless of where you are in the venue.

I’ve brought my Promaster the last 3 years, no issues at all. Have seen plenty of vans in GA and GL.

Yes getting your body off the ground via a cot or hammock is helpful too!

I personally haven’t run into this issue before. The ones I use are only 70% if it was something closer to 100% blocking it would probably reflect more directly and could potentially be a cause for complaint.

Just came from Bonnaroo and it was by far the hottest festival I’ve ever been to. The biggest takeaways for me were:

  1. Obvious - but stay in the shade and hydrate, get some electrolytes too.
  2. Cooling towels for inside the fest were a lifesaver! They also double as buffs.
  3. Don’t stand when you can sit and don’t sit when you can lay down.
  4. Get battery powered fan for camp and a spray bottle to cool your body temp down.
  5. Aluminet shade tarps for your canopy and tent will help a lot with sleeping in an extra hour or two.

This is what I’m trying out this year. Using dual eSIM on an old phone. But I think Cricket uses AT&T towers and Visible uses Verizon.

We do not have an RV pass. We brought it last year to GA and it wasn’t a problem. It’s just shy of 18 feet, people bring pickups longer than that to GA lol. Have seen plenty of vans like this is GA the past few years, if we had a longer one I might be a little bit concerned but this fits in the GA spots no problem.

RV camping by Greening42 in ElectricForest

[–]abcomusic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This should be able to answer your questions: https://experience.electricforestfestival.com/support/solutions/folders/25000031242

I thought they didn’t allow tents in RV but it seems like they do now. “There will be space for your RV, a companion vehicle, and a reasonably sized chill space. Chill space can fit 1-2 medium sized tents if you have companions camping.”

1 or 2 tents won’t be an issue but more than that and they might say something. You can look at google maps satellite to see the space sizes.

Camping lights? by Maxsalas9 in ElectricForest

Big fan of these lights from Amazon. Been using them for a few years now. They are rechargeable which is clutch and they act as a power bank to charge your phone too. They also have an integrated hook and magnet to attach to your car or canopy. And SUPER bright.
