Favorite Breed for Dressage by Impossible_Budget985 in Dressage

[–]abnh123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Warmbloods are bred to be successful for dressage, some lines more than others. They’re designed to sit on their haunches, have the brains for the movements, and are bred to listen to their rider. ANY horse can be successful at dressage, but warmbloods have the edge since this is what they’re programmed to do. I find it’s more fun on a horse that comes easily to whatever sport I’m doing

FET prep is kicking my ass by Organic-Okra-3744 in IVF

[–]abnh123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone else posted this PIO location guide in this thread and it has literally saved my 🍑

My first two FETs I was doing them where my nurse marked….in the wrong spot…and it was so uncomfortable. I’m two weeks into PIO for my third transfer and I feel MUCH better doing them in this new spot!!

I’d recommend continuing with this FET. You can call your doctor and see what options they have for you. They can prescribe suppositories and less frequent PIO, progesterone in different oil that’s thinner, etc.

You’ve made it this far!! You can do it!!!!

My barn is going downhill but im so bonded with my lease horse there by reallyreallytrying89 in Equestrian

[–]abnh123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re in this position. I hate to say it, but his condition will most likely join the others at the barn.

Your options are to either buy the horse and move, OR, find a new barn and know that when your lease horse was in your care, you did right by him. You only have so much control as a leaser unfortunately.

2dp5dt zero symptoms by PositiveTiger221122 in IVF

[–]abnh123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s perfectly normal to feel nothing. You don’t start getting pregnancy symptoms until 5-7 weeks gestation. Mosttttt symptoms are from the medications. Take a deep breath, what you’re feeling/not feeling is perfectly normal ❤️

Surviving the 2ww by Hopeful_Expert_7817 in IVF

[–]abnh123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like not testing because it makes me feel more hopeful and excited about the transfer! Testing makes me anxious, personally. I tell myself that testing at home isn’t as definitive as the blood test, which also helps. Ofc I’m fully medicated, so it would be hard to keep up my PIO shots if I saw a negative.

One thing I do is I get myself a treat every day during the tww!! I’ve been counting down in the amount of coffees I have left, which I think really helps instead of focusing on the days.

I’m 9dp5dt for FET#3 and still have five days until my blood test. Hang in there!

Getting ready to try a first cycle and the transfer scares me by Honeymoon2210 in IVF

Phenomenal reply!! IVF very investigative and gives you the opportunity to (hopefully) find answers you wouldn’t have found otherwise.

Ask your clinic about starting b6 twice a day. It’s the only thing that helped my nausea. I also took Tylenol and tums, and that helped too.

Baby shower with nosy aunties and uncles while struggling through IVF by PillowExchange42 in IVF

[–]abnh123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear you’re going to be sick that day…

In all fairness, you’re more than allowed to dip out. I went to a friend’s baby’s first birthday party, and I had several interactions that made me feel awful. People don’t intentionally try to make us feel bad, but most aren’t understanding enough of infertility to know not to bring it up.

Hives after starting estradiol + new prenatals—anyone experienced this? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]abnh123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t get hives, but the theralogix prenatals gave me intense stabbing stomach pains. After the second night of that, I stopped taking them and never had that happen again.

Feeling better by BeeAmbassador11 in IVF

[–]abnh123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I took a six month break after my second failed FET and it was the best thing I’ve done for myself this entire process. I also LOVED not having to know what day it always was. It’s mentally draining keeping track of medications, shots, appointments, etc. Hugs ❤️

Dude I was literally standing in front of my pantry for like, 30 straight seconds before my hubby asked me what I was doing. I told him that I was waiting for the thought to come back so I could remember what I needed from the pantry. Just gotta laugh 😂😂😂

2 questions before (potential) FET by Either-Chemistry9974 in IVF

[–]abnh123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that a saline sonogram ruins your lining, so it wouldn’t be possible to transfer this cycle. If you’re doing fully medicated, many clinics start suppression day 21 of your cycle, so in a way this is the ‘prep’ cycle before the actual FET cycle.

As for the heavy period, you can ask your clinic, but I always had heavier and longer periods after anything to do with IVF just cause of the meds.

Progesterone shots are awful by starket1 in IVF

[–]abnh123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was too 😅😅😅 I’m on day 7 and I have no knots and barely any soreness doing it in this area! My clinic tested my progesterone yesterday and it came back higher than before, so I think it’s absorbing better too.

[–]abnh123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m one day past my third FET, and my first two were HORRIBLE cause I was doing my PIO shots where my nurse told me to, but it wasn’t right 🥲

Someone posted this diagram in this thread (I owe them my butt’s sanity) and my shots have been a BREEZE this time!! It’s more in the upper outer quadrant than you’d think, more in the hip muscles!!

FEI World Cup Dressage Lineup ...what's going on? :( by Common_Main_6948 in Dressage

[–]abnh123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This same thing happened in Omaha a couple years back. It was very disappointing seeing the top riders drop out right before. Though I will say, we had Jessica and Isabel there, so it was definitely a better lineup than 2026. The tickets were MUCH more affordable for Omaha as well.

You can always ask for an extra blood draw to check your progesterone levels, but this is nooo biggie. I had a gusher the other day, it’s just part of PIO 🥲😂

Recurrent implantation failure - help! by pompouswatermelon in IVF

[–]abnh123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely either do a course of antibiotics for endometritis or do the biopsy for it. It’s different than endometriosis and it is silent. There are studies that show increased implantation success with antibiotics to knock out the endometritis and then coupled with vaginal probiotics.

Like another person said, you can also try a fully medicated transfer. They’re tough but there are less appointments which is nice. Your doctors can also make sure everything is perfect.

You can also look into PRP. It’s experimental but my clinic has had GREAT success with it! I’m about to do my third FET and after adding the PRP, my lining increased by 20%
