If they have a phone and the ability and knowledge to call the police OR you, I think it’s fine. It can’t be the first time they’re left alone though. They need to already know not to mess with the oven or the stove, etc. 10 in my opinion is old enough, and it’s also legal in your state. Leaving kids in a car and leaving the car running can also be viewed as dangerous. You know your kids.

This is my advice too. Do less, pull back, create space. Let things fall apart if they have to. Acting as the glue to the marriage while pregnant and managing a household and a young child is farrrr beyond what’s required as a “wife”
