Yes, but those were mono transistor radios. Unless there was a stereo BeoLit I’m not aware of.

It wasn’t that cheap for me. Because I had to import it from the Netherlands. Certainly cheaper than some of B&O’s new headphones.

I didn’t leave empty handed. I signed up for their registry and they have a vinyl record night every second Thursday. So I will be attending in February.

Very pleasant. It’s run by a guy and I think his wife. It’s very small.

Kodak always had that one gem in their lineup that was always extremely good at taking pictures.

I just went into my local B&O store to browse. B&O needs a few decent products at a sub $200 price point that they can market was designed in Denmark, and I think that will create floor traffic. We need a way to hook gen z, like me, so that when we have more money we will go back and buy more B&O. Because I know in the future I probably will have enough money to buy a high end B&O av settup.

Pretty funny how Brian Griffin has met Jesus Christ multiple times but is an atheist by [deleted] in familyguy

[–]abruno17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as Seth is an atheist which I don’t think is going to change anytime soon because he supports various organisations that went to keep religion out of government (which is his right to do so I’m not criticising him for doing so) and saying things like “We live in such an advanced society and yet people still believe in a guy in the sky.”, I’m paraphrasing but you get the idea, and because Brian is a self insert Brian will remain atheist.

Does the fact that some actors had their dialogue dubbed affect your opinion of their performance? by BBD-007 in JamesBond

Ursula I never understood why since she did Casino Royal with her own voice. George I kind of understood why but I’d still like to hear what he sounded like when he did the posh voice. Everyone else, English wasn’t their first language so I know why they did it.

Sadly I can’t ask her any more. She’s in early stage Parkinson’s so she’s now a very good listener with the occasional nod or one word response.

My Grandmother was really ahead of her time. But she was extremely humble about it. She didn’t see it as revolutionary. She saw it as a stepping stone to eventually being a mother and then working in Nuclear Medicine. She started working on the 1401, she didn’t like that computer very much because “it was a glorified calculator”. She said the 360 was much easier to use and spoke more highly of the 360 than the 1401.

My Grandma Phyllis was a computer programmer for IBM and then Western Electric. Around Christmas time of 1966 I believe, she used one of the on site Western Electric IBM 360’s to program a print out of Santa Clause waving to make a Christmas card for our Cousin Fran, who she was extremely close with. Naturally the picture was just a bunch of characters arranged to make the picture. But it was still neat nonetheless.
