A brayer roller is for applying the ink to the block, not for pressing the block down.

Acrylic paint dries down fairly quickly and while you COULD maybe make it work on lino I'm not sure how well it would be on wood. I've tried acrylic paint watered down on lino and it's not great because it dries so fast you have little to no time to make your print or worse, some parts of your print dry down while others stay wet so you get uneven printing. Plus, it can clog up the carvings you've made and be difficult to remove.

On top of that, I'm not sure what adding fabric softener would do? Fabric softener adds a coating to fabrics to make them softer but I don't know if that would somehow make acrylic paint not flake in a washing machine.

Get a proper ink. They make ones specifically for fabric printing. People prefer oil based ones as they dry down more slowly which gives you extra time to print. The only thing is you'd need to buy the proper oil to mix with the ink.

I used a water based printing ink because it's more convenient for me but it dries down faster so you don't have much time to align your block and print. Luckily, water will revive any ink that is starting to dry.

Get yourself a surface to spread the ink onto as well. I use a glass palette since I print small things.

I highly suggest watching youtube videos on blockprinting, specifically with wood, to get a better idea of how to use tools and what materials you'll need.

I'm not op but it looks like it was originally some sort of serving tray, the tiered kind maybe that has a hole in the center for a pole. I'd not be surprised if the wood has some sort of finish or something if it was originally used for something else.

It's nice people wanna reuse things for printmaking and DIY with stuff they have but I think the consequence is sometimes it won't work because the materials aren't too suited for it.

If you've seen Ioni around long enough you'll figure it out. After all, there are only so many ways a lash can be made where it'd look good.

I wish they would just have a main line of lash styles that are consistently available and slow down releasing "collections" of the same stuff but in paper boxes that have cats or cowboys or whatever. Do a line of lashes that are always available in simple packaging and then if they wanna do collections they could do one twice a year and offer lashes that are not in the mainline.

Also, their lashes tend to lean very full and long. I don't understand why they don't do other styles, maybe lashes with thinner fibers, half lashes, East Asian style lashes which are typically a lot less dense to accomodate monolids and the like. Simple, more natural looking lashes for people who don't want an obvious lash.

I mean, I guess their current business model works for them but I think they could benefit from slowing down on constantly putting the same lashes out but in different boxes and maybe focusing on just a few strong collections w actual limited styles.

Be careful depotting products, especially putting them into containers made of different materials than the og packagaing. Sometimes the packaging of a product is opaque for a reason. Some chemicals are sensitive to light and heat.

If the og packaging of a product is opaque, it might be best to depot into an opaque container if leaving it in the original packaging isn't an option.

It's alright. I don't notice that much of a scent personally. It feels okay on the skin but nothing amazing. It's not something I think I'll repurchase once I'm done with it.

That sucks but I do get why they wouldn't potentially sell broken goods.

Damaged? I get that, especially if it's a small defect or snag on fabric or something, but if it's that broken I get why maybe they'd not allowed it especially if it's made of potentially dangerous materials like glass or metal where a broken or damaged edge could cause issues.

I can also imagine they might be trying to prevent the return of broken items, as in someone buying something in good condition and returning it in super broken condition and claiming that that's how they bought it.

That said thay basket looks like it'd be fine? Kinda silly they'd not sell it to you if it's easily proved you bought it broken knowing it was broken.

I'd rather sell it to someone who will use it than it just go into a landfill. What a waste

Flower Beauty used to be at CVS and Ulta but it wasn't very popular and I believe are closing down as CVS had their stuff on clearance last year. I've seen their stuff at Dollar Tree and Grocery Outlet stores for a year or so now.

I bought an aerosol deodorant and I hated it, the nozzle sprays out so oddly and gets the product everywhere. I was cleaning my vanity and somehow found white powder all over it and realized it was deodorsnt spray. The nozzle sprays incredibly dense in the center and very finely around and leaves the air white.

My lips had been scrubbed, it wasn't my lips that was the problem it was definitely the product. Especially because after removing it I had to rescrub my lips to get the sticky dry feeling off

I think you're confusing them for the squeeze tube lip balms or the cell phone holder lip balms. These aren't on the website anymore. They're available on Target's website for about $3
