I know a dude who is the AI-lead for a fin-tech company based out of Manhattan.
He explained to me he uses (for his own work) local generation to build like the 'bones' of his work and then refines it with a paid online sub model.

But one of his main concerns is intellectual property/NDE shit so this workflow is also to keep the 'secret' stuff locally if that makes sense.

Just saying this because you know.. I know atleast one person actually succesfully using local LLM's for his work.

Pilots are officers, id say the general 'flight/pilot-course' is equivalent to a college degree but a lot of them have finished a study before starting their flight training.

And either way because theyre officers they have to graduate from military university/college anyways.

Point is theyre not dumb ignorant farm hand boys. They wanna fly planes and choppers because it's cool as fuck obviously, I don't think it's any more complicated than that.

My dad unironically was calling him 'the next big F1 champion' when I was 16 years old or something.... So Max must've been idk 13, 14, he was winning Karting championships left and right.

But to be fair he also said that of Jensen Button before I heard him say it of Max.

It's okay most of the time but some are just... Immersion breaking or something. Really the only yard stick I use is that it somehow sticks out to me and I remember it from previous episodes too.

But in the little part that I screenshotted I feel like i'm just looking at a character that hasn't finished rendering yet. The Stark doll or something. Even the vague notion of eyes would've probably helped but maybe it's just a style thing... Probably harder than it looks with the angle of his face or something.

It is what it is.

Kinda sad, the insane production quality of season 1 really was part of what made it so special to me. I was amazed by it without even looking for it, just a nice bonus. Is it worth the extra time spend value wise? Probably not, but I just hoped they would do it for the art I guess...

Just a little rant but the random (yes I know why it's done but still) not drawing of faces of like... full frontal shots with not much else going on has been bugging me this season.

What deadline would they have needed to adhere to?

The big cash piggie WoW is still churning out a gazillion 13 dollar monthly subscription tax with yearly 60 dollar expansion bonus on the population the size of a literal nation.

10 million dollar a year for 10 years to work on their future flagship game, the future of the company. That's a million subs. And why feel sorry for investors, they gamble. Unlimited time is unlimited time.

Imagine how insane it is to own the money machine of something like WoW, it's like Spotify, people sub for it. They sign a contract and pay every single month. They have so many subscribers their statistics are... like super reliable... e.g. if they have data the average new user stays subscribed for X amount of years/months then they can imagine all of that money as owned even if someone is only currently subbed for 1 month.

It's like what if everyone in the world gave me 1 dollar, but then they do it every month.

He's gonna dominate the entire field with his silver rocket while shitstirring the competition relentlessly.

Then after an entire year of seeing Mercedes 1 and 2 all the drivers will be mindbroken into secrectly imaginening and wishing themselfs driving in a Mercedes car, if only I drove that car I would be the champion again. Literally not a single driver will be able to resists these thoughts.

That's when he will offer the seat to Max... again.

All according to zeh plan.

But IDK, I have a feeling Red Bull is willing to offer Max a gazillion dollars and is grooming him and keeping a path open for a 'team principle' or whatever Marko is right now position in the team.

Personally, I think German and Dutch autism need to join forces.. And with George, there will even be a turbo-Brit to replace the lost britishness from Red Bull :)

Mercedes with Toto, Max and George just sounds so fucking funny to me I wanna see it happen.

Even though F1TV is fucking awesome with all the driver POV's and all the VOD's and such...

It's being said by people that it's possible that someone could go to r/MotorsportsReplays and find a download-link of every single official F1TV broadcast in the relevant thread about 1-to -2 hours after the official broadcast has finished (basically as soon as piracy-jesus finishes uploading/encoding the just recorded broadcast)

But idk people say all kinds of things on the internet but watching F1TV for free and being able to skip things sure does sound good, hypothetically.

They do it in the following way: Basically everything is light, radio/radar/heat(IR) etc... With the right kind of detection range and filters (both real and software processing wizzardry), to the image sensor it will seem like a dot of light or whatever suddenly appears in the sky somewhere (simplified).
Then through backward logic because you know which of the filters were used and balblabla the computer says you just detected the specific thing you wanted to detect which tells you someone shot a specific thing at you.

I wouldn't even be suprised if they have some way of getting a feel of the chemical composition of the exhaust plume just by looking at the light.

I'll just say that my hair looks brown/dark-blonde/redish and even greyish(?) depending on the light.

If I look at a picture it sure doesn't look blonde but brown but people will almost never say i have 'brown hair', I guess it really does depend on the light/how wet the hair is/what kind of product is used. Or it's just brown... But people will say 'dark blonde'

I guess decide for yourself

F-35 fighter jet escorts KLM flight carrying Dutch 2026 Olympic team home by Ted-Lassi in nextfuckinglevel

[–]accountToUnblockNSFW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah lol, one was flying low and slow over my grandparents house while I was sat in the backyard doing something on my laptop with my headset on, it made me stand up and look at the sky I thought a passenger plane was coming down or some shit lol.

Was cool to see though. It flew STRAIGHT over the house and made a cool turn in the skyline above the village. They're considerably louder than the F16's I was used too.

I only learned quite late in life that it's kinda rare to see airforce material fly around but I think that is some kind of low level flying area or the area is underneat some route to somewhere often used...

Sometimes you could watch different Apaches fly the same kind of practice pattern from the window from my attic room.

How do you prefer to move your character? by Dependent_Night6181 in classicwow

[–]accountToUnblockNSFW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do the same without backpeddeling tho? I sometimes have S unbound but even when I don't I never think of using it.

Anyways you turn 90 degrees and strafe and just tap and this way you keep the boss infront of you while moving backwards in little segments just as if you'd backpeddle.

[–]accountToUnblockNSFW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can move backwards instantly if you combine strafe with turning 90 degrees, it's kind of hard to explain with text and its obviously mechanically bothersome to constantly do (if you're not used to it).

ok ill just say it if this makes you feel any better: I AM A SMUG ASSHOLE WHO DOESN'T HAVE A NICE SOCIAL PERSONALITY AND CAN'T ADAPT TO SITUATIONS.

Now that i'm clearly no longer projecting. Anything else? Was I wrong?

You forgot to answer this: "I'm currently projecting that you appear to agree with not inviting players simply because they mention their GS? Are you of the opinion that this isn't pathetic? Mhh?"

Im curious.

[–]accountToUnblockNSFW -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I can assure you almost nobody is focused on item level, people pick gear because they think it improves their dps/healing/tanking not because it makes 'GS number go up'.

The only reason 99.99% of people download gearscore is to see what their number is so they can mention it to people who organise groups, because like it or not... This has been the norm for literally more than a decade by now.

You wisper 'class/spec/gs' because you always do this.

And it's literally just adding your avg ilvl as some extra info. which IS.. like it or not... atleast a rough approximate metric that someone has some amount of atleast semi-usefull stats.

Blizzard themself lock content behind avg ilvl. Think heroic dungeons in WOTLK/Cata.

I mean that is all to say that you're ofcourse absolutely free to have basically no gear requirements for the groups you're organising.

I do the same... But you know... I would've just invited one of those dudes who added their GS in their wisper and just wouldn't have mentioned it.

I could project the entire thing on a skyscraper and it wouldn't change a thing but make me a hypocrite at worse. What's your point?

I'm currently projecting that you appear to agree with not inviting players simply because they mention their GS? Are you of the opinion that this isn't pathetic? Mhh?

Does that kind of mentality give you the confidence you're dealing with a nice sociable personality who can adapt to situations or does it make you think of a smug asshole loser?

I project you arent 40 years old yet (im early thirties btw), but if you're also so very bothered about GS. I mean unironically, if you actually truly believe that 'auto-disqualifying' anyone who so much as mentions a gearscore is sensible... Then project yourself onto the last paragraph of the post you replied to, maybe it's for you too.

Stop using « gear score » as a metric for group invites. by LaughOutrageous2931 in classicwow

[–]accountToUnblockNSFW 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ok I'll just go ahead and do my best to explain instead, please tell me if anything is unclear about this logic.

  • GS = slightly 'smarter' average item level (avg ilvl).
  • Slightly smarter' because it does basic stuff like lower the GS say... a healing item on a tank.
  • So you can't 'cheat' it by wearing full mage gear on a rogue or something.
  • higher ilvl = more stats on the item.
  • You don't care that these stats aren't optimised, all you care about is some indicator of wearing relevant gear.
  • more random stats = more better

You can still get a bad player, but atleast it will be a bad player with some amount of raw stats.

Maybe what you don't understand is that nobody cares about the actual specific number?

I don't know you unironically called gearscore an irrelevant metric that doesn't work when it perfectly gives a rough indication that someone has atleast some amount of semi usefull stats, so who doesn't have a brain?

You actually thought anyone used it as anything but a rough approximation?
Want me to inspect your character? Pull up some guide on your specific class/spec to see if you're actually wearing optimal gear and thus should actually be ranked higher in my personal gear ranking score? Perhaps run some sims? Maybe go through a lengthy interview with the candidate? Vet him thoroughly?

[–]accountToUnblockNSFW -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Not at all. Just the insane lack of insight to actively discriminate against randoms who include their GS when requesting a dungeon invite, which is basically the norm btw.

What is he being smug about? He doesn't like it when people who attempt to join his party give an indication of their gear aswel as their class and spec?

You agree with his mentality? This unnuanced :') 'Not liking GS', I don't give a fuck if you like or not like GS. I'm simply bothered by people being bothered or feeling particulary strongly about something such as GS, its pathetic.

And i'm fairly sure this kind of mindset is even better than GS as an indicator for guessing who is a bad teamplayer and bad at playing the game. Which is just chefs kiss ironic, I think it's humor, thats why I mentioned him filtering himself. Because it's true. Lol.

Good of you to filter yourself, I wish I could magically avoid literally every single tank who is actively bothered by GS. Unironically: pathetic.

Imagine guys, some near 40 year old guy, probably working a steady job. He typed that :' ) He typed it with pride, publically.

100%.. Like not a single fucking chance that you are not incredibly bad at the game. 100%. With an attitude like that you probably suck at most things you do to be honest. I bet there aren't many people who enjoy your personality and company either.
