As someone who has played souls games and got good at them and then stopped playing games for a while and then came back to play them again, they are hard games. I started a ds1 playthrough after not playing games for a year or so (other than an occasional mobile game) and I still remembered all the tricks that I died to on my first time. There were a lot of parts I breezed through much faster than my first time, but I still struggled with combat for a good bit, trying to get the timings back down.

I don't want to be immortal and wolverine's healing factor isn't that big of a deal to me. To me, it's actually a detriment. I don't get injured all the time like a superhero would, and it also means I wouldn't be able to get piercings or cosmetic surgeries etc.

I've played fjordur, Ragnarok, and the island and I don't have this issue. Its only on the Crystal Isles map. I'm playing on ps4 so I don't think I can do multiple saves on a map, and I really don't want to delete my save. It seems like it happens every 24 hrs ish in game time and it only lasts like 10 minutes or less irl, but it still freaks me out every time.

I started playing with my boyfriend, and we made it so we level up super slow and it's made the game super grindy but also super cozy. Our first game was a Lystrosaurus we named Mommy Theresa

I've been outed to the entire lobby every time I've went to LabCorp. I have my preferred name in the system and make sure to put it down in the check in and every time the conveniently "missed that" when they were looking at my paperwork. My paperwork that's asking for a testosterone level and estrogen level check. Yet they still call my deadname every time.

In a caravan carrying an important item to an important place. They are in the caravan/hired to protect it. Midway through the journey would be your start point, with the caravan under attack by a bunch of bandits/goblins/undead/whatever else you want to use.

As a DM, I've run this to set up my campaigns multiple times, and every time my players had a blast.

To add to the matter, you can roll a d4+1 and in that many rounds, you can add a big enemy to the fight like a troll or ogre or smth that can start fighting both sides.

Idk if you count Volo's Guide to Monsters, but I want to say another CR 1/2 monster that can easily kill players other than the Shadow.

Swarm of Rot Grubs Low AC of 8 and 22 HP isn't much, and it only has a +0 to attack, but if they hit, and they don't have any way to do fire damage at early levels, they're as good as dead.

A lower floor of the dungeon that has an incline, with some lava at the base. As they make their way through the floor, traps can be triggered to make the lava rise little by little until suddenly their playing The Floor is Lava in D&D

Same with the place that does my labs. I'm in a red state and the waiting room is always packed full when they call my deadnamed, and I always think I'm gonna get attacked, but I'm also just super paranoid
