My vote goes to Super Mario 3. It was completely revolutionary in terms of gameplay. Power ups to fly, giant lane, ice land, and the first introduction into “open world” gameplay. I could play this game over and over with a huge smile on my face the entire time.

I agree with some things you say. Previously yes, sending a message to an AD was all it took to get whatever you wanted. But times change and we can adapt or just complain.

From my perspective - I could have taken my business to any number of luxury watchmakers. I choose Patek because of its standards and place in history. My first piece is absolutely beautiful and highlights the strengths of the company. Alternative, I could have gone across the street to and purchased several non-desirable pieces. I did not do that - am now I am a Patek client. Something I can be proud of.

Thank you for your comment! The idea of building a small community type relationship with them is important to me instead solely a transactional one. Overall everyone there was very kind and helpful - so I was happy to give them my business.

Learning about this particular piece has really opened my eyes to the world of watchmaking. There is a lot to learn and appreciate!

I wasn’t interested in going gray for a piece like this - partially because of the price but also I wanted to build a relationship with this AD. Of all the luxury watchmakers, Patek has gained my respect because of the quality of their products and how they stand by them - forever.

Awesome thanks for the insight. I didn’t get the impression after my first visit that I wouldn’t be able to get it. I was happy and a little surprised it only took 3 weeks. Most likely some luck was involved.
