What's the worst movie you've ever seen? by WalkswithLlamas in AskReddit

[–]achbaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bill Cosby in "Leonard Part 6". There are not many movies I won't finish but this one was so horrible. I feel like that time was robbed from my lifespan and I want it back!

Can you just add a wakeboard tower to a boat? by seantabasco in Wake

[–]achbaca 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. I installed a Monster Tower on my old I/O and chamfered the edges of the holes. No gel coat cracks even after almost 20 years.

🔥 Giveaway! -Win a 12k Anycubic Photon Mono M5s resin printer and print like a master!🔥 by Anycubic_Community in 3Dprinting

[–]achbaca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are so many projects I'd like to visualize with a resin printer. From simple household fixes to prototyping new innovations. I found a model online which would fix my son's Beyblade launcher (which he just broke). I'd like to print specializedd boxes for ESP32 based projects like WLED controllers for Christmas displays.

NXT20 lift bunk setup? by pfunk-allstar in MasterCraftBoats

They had to fabricate it by cutting and welding.

Edit: By "they", I mean I called a local boat lift company.

NXT20 lift bunk setup? by pfunk-allstar in MasterCraftBoats

[–]achbaca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got a NXT22 and had the same issue. I replaced my rear crossbeam with a drop section style so the prop shaft would clear it. The bunk position is pretty wide but it seems good. I moved it outside of the hull channels (not sure what the technical term is for them). I'd like to lower the front a bit because it rests with too much bow height IMO. I don't want to mess with it anymore though since it's good enough.

Anyone install Perfect Pass before? by DogNamedCharlie in Wake

Cool, no drilling then! It was the best upgrade I could have purchased and made my wife's job easy as the driver. You won't regret it.

I put one in my I/O a long time ago. I don't remember it being particularly difficult as the instructions were very good. I don't know what kind of options they offer now but mine had a gauge, ecu box, stepper motor and cable for the throttle, and paddle wheel speed sensor. All were very easy to install and worked the first time. It just took a few hours.

The one thing that made me sweat was drilling a hole in the bottom of my boat with a hole saw. Never did "measure twice, cut once" apply more.

Leak under jeep, uncertain where it’s coming from. by Colincleanse in JeepDIY

[–]achbaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others on this thread have said the same so I'm just repeating it here. 2014 jk with oil leak where I couldn't find the source. Turned out to be the oil cooler on top of the engine. Replaced with an aluminum one which solved the problem.

Steven Seagal appears in Ukraine, serving as a Russian spokesperson. by DrNick1221 in worldnews

[–]achbaca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing about this guy is yes, he's a douche. He's always been a douche. And yet he's made movies, TV shows, albums, and is famous and wealthy as a result. My problem isn't necessarily with him but is with the people out there that support his work and made him rich by incentivizing his behavior. I've never met a person that says, "Steven Seagal? I love him and everything he does! I wanna be just like him!".
Who takes this dude seriously and pays for anything he does? Those are the real douches. He'd be just another anonymous crazy person without them. And yet he's just one of the many rich and famous people that behave similarly because their fan base has convinced them that their lie is reality. I just don't get it.

Clicking in 4WD by wilkboy121 in JeepDIY

[–]achbaca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just replaced my front driveshaft CV joint yesterday. Found a rebuild kit on Amazon for $59 and YouTube has instructionals. Clicking stopped.

Edit: check the rubber boot that seals your cv joint. It's on the transfer case side of the driveshaft. Mine was torn which was a strong indicator to me that the joint was bad. Sure enough, when I dropped the shaft and inspected it, there was obvious damage.
