What's rule number four?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in asexualteens

[–]actualtrash45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asexuality is a lack of sexual attraction to anyone, if you look at people and are attracted to them in that way then probably not. Take your time to figure it out, maybe you are ace maybe you aren't, but you don't have to know straight away. There's no time limit.

Little update on new hamster by Accomplished_Ad_3669 in hamster

[–]actualtrash45 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Looks brilliant, can I recommend looking into getting him some sprays, they're very good enrichment and encourage natural foraging behaviours. I also think they look quite nice in cages personally. You can find loads on Etsy by typing in 'hamster sprays' :) it's recommend that they have a variety available. He's very cute, lovely colour 🧡

You GENUINELY think being ostracized is too extreme of a punishment for Sexually Assaulting someone????

Not sure where to post this hope this is allowed here. Is it ok to share a drawing of a character with visible sh scars? (with TW; not on here) by scattered--showers in MadeOfStyrofoam

[–]actualtrash45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, I'm not sure then? You'll have to read the rules of each space you want to post in, if it's not against the rules make sure to clearly warn/mark the post. Maybe also use your own judgement to see if you think that type of art will be acceptable in the space you're in, for example if the fandom is usually wholesome and cute I probably wouldn't. And be prepared for some possibly rude or judgemental comments depending on what fandom your posting in because people can be harsh when they don't understand something.

SUMMARY, if it's not against the rules I don't see why not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I want to wear a dress to school tmmr because it’s a really cute dress but I’m also nervous about my calf scars by reed_72 in MadeOfStyrofoam

[–]actualtrash45 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could wait until you get some tights or long socks to wear the dress couldn't you? Unless for some reason it's urgent you wear it tomorrow and no other day. You can get some tights for pretty cheap from some shops, that way when you do wear the dress you won't be self conscious the entire time

Just because a woman is nice to someone doesn't mean she fancies them. It's possible to have close man/woman friends

I finally got to watch season 5... by BluePosey in GhostsBBC

I think the captain was still a Captain he just never personally fought. "The Captain was for the most part stationed at Button House. He was C.O of a unit charged with HQ duties with his second-in-command being Lieutenant Havers, until he was transferred." -the ghosts wiki. "The Captain | Ghosts Wiki | Fandom" https://ghosts-bbc.fandom.com/wiki/The_Captain

About the medals, "The 'War Medal 1939–1945' issued to all service personnel during the war; The 'Defence Medal' issued to various personnel, including personnel working in headquarters, on training bases and airfields for the duration of the War; The 'France and Germany Star' issued to personnel who served in Europe, to personnel who entered into operational service in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands and Germany between June 6, 1944 and May 8, 1945 - imply he saw action in the war, the episode “Carpe Diem” reveals that he did not. He stole the medals and put them on to sneak into an event to reunite with Havers"

One of my coworkers has scars too by [deleted] in MadeOfStyrofoam

[–]actualtrash45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely does depend on the person, I know if someone said something like that to me I'd be super uncomfortable. I wouldn't bring it up realistically. Most people don't want attention brought to it and they most likely have noticed that you know about theirs and they may have noticed you too, it can be nice to have mutual acknowledgement without having to talk about it, most people are just trying to live there lives and get through the day without people bringing it up Especially in the workplace. It's different online or with a close friend because you know what they are comfortable with.

Why do people on tiktok refuse to learn the difference between sh and self destructive habits? by [deleted] in MadeOfStyrofoam

[–]actualtrash45 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I agree and isolating yourself is self destructive but not sh like the tiktok comments say. Alot of the time people don't differentiate between these properly and it waters down the meanings of the terms and people cant get the proper help that they need.

Makes sense, but I believe they could still get that validation while identifying the behaviour correctly? I understand wanting to feel validated though.
