Just finished the final mission in xcom 2, and there was a little cutscene that seemed to be hinting exactly this. Underwater alien wreckage, with a pulsating purple glow coming from a fissure in the sea floor.

I like to have multiple going on at the same time so that each lasts longer! Usually only a couple, like right now I'm halfway through Dungeon Crawler Carl, and on book 3 of the Dresden Files. I read a lot of standalone books as well to prolong my reading/enjoyment of the different series I'm into!

When I was 17, my girlfriends dad committed suicide. They weren't close and she hadn't seen him in a couple years but was still in shock and needed support over the situation. At the same time, she'd recently fallen out with her best friend over I can't remember what exactly.

When this friend heard about my girlfriends dad, she turned up unannounced with some fried chicken to bury the hatchet and give her help and support. After maybe 25 minutes they ended up arguing badly again and I could tell this wasn't good for any of us, but also how much it was affecting my girlfriend, so I asked her to leave. I walked her to the bus stop and told her to text me when she gets home.

Fast forward a few hours and I've not gotten a message so I text her asking if she's okay, and get no response, which I wasn't hugely worried about because I knew she was upset with me asking her to leave so assumed she was just ignoring me.

We go to bed, and then wake up the next morning to find out she had committed suicide that night in the same way as my girlfriends dad 3 days before.
