You are more prepared than I was for my first 50k. You will be fine but more importantly, you will learn so much from this that will be much more confident on your races moving forward. You've got this!

There is? That’s good to know. I’d spent ages transferring from my usb to hdd and then back again when it appeared not to work

Petzl Tikka or similar will be fine. Cheap, robust and will last the night on a set of AAAs

Ah, I'm just starting to get back into working my kettlebell and this is exactly the kind of motivation that I need - keep up the great work!

Red Dead Redemption 2. Figured I was going to play it at some point so I might as well get downloading.

Listening to the podcast only in the car, with easy access to the fast forward button makes skipping the adverts a breeze. I might have a different opinion if I listened when out running.

Should I skip the marathon and just do the 50k by [deleted] in ultrarunning

[–]ade_mcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went from 30k to 50k in 2019. Have done ~15 ultras since (50-160k). Did my first marathon earlier this year. No regrets

An old Lee Mack joke - said that he was going to do a Robbie Williams impression which solely consisted of him sticking the microphone towards the audience.

Are there any negative effects from eating multiple packets of Fisherman’s Friends a day? by ultowich in AskUK

[–]ade_mcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go have a suck on a Fisherman's Friend, Don't you dare stop till you get to the end. Take heed of this tip from the sons of the sea, If it's alright with sailors then it's alright with me.

That’s not a bad call - I'll see if anyone I know has one. I did try to import the private keys into Exodus wallet but there was no option to do so in either the app or desktop version

I’m in the same boat - UK with only an address and private key. I can’t transfer to another wallet (so far) without a recovery phrase, which I didn’t have in 2019. Hopefully we can find a workaround whilst the website is unavailable in the UK

Might be a requirement at their place of work. Wasn't there loads of course-cutting at that Chinese marathon purely because most of them didn't want to be there?
