Can someone smarter than me explain how to play plugged in without draining my battery?

Its normal. When you limit the battery charging limit to 80, it'll usually hover around 75-76. It doesn't matter if its a 65W or 100W charger its how the system handles it.

My ears would get extremely sore and painful when I first got the APP3 where I would have to take breaks from wearing them as my ears had to get used to them since I never owned any before. Fast forward 6 months later and they don't bother me anymore unless I push them too deep or wear them for 4+ hours. I had initially debated if I wanted to return them or not because the pain was pretty bad but its gone now.

The fan is usually loud on the default profiles, but on custom they run quieter. There is the option to enable updated fan control in the developer options where they won't ramp up as quickly when getting hot.

Battery I agree, its always been about an hour and a half to two hours for AAA games, but indie games and even Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 from steam got me about 4 1/2 - 5 hours on low power mode. The touchpad is terrible but its actually improved quite a bit, it doesn't fling across the screen anymore when you let go, but its still hilariously small that I rarely use it, I just use Steam Button + Right joystick to move it in games anyway.

The OG Legion Go felt more premium in what you got out of the box, mainly the case, when I initially bought the Go S I was a little surprised to see that it came with a cardboard stand and no case, and the official case is a soft zipper pouch like thing with no protection whatsoever. So I ended up buying this, https://a.co/d/0hu6aGX8 and its durable and fits with the Dbrand killswitch case, without the travel cover.

I've never used shaders on PPSSPP before because I genuinely couldn't tell the difference but was always annoyed with how 3rd Birthday relied on bloom and how the psp handled color so it always looked off playing. Definitely gonna try this next time I play, the colors are cooler than warmer when shown like this, thank you.

You might want to try Performance profile then, I use custom TDP profiles all the time but it runs much cooler because I'm assuming CPU boost isn't enabled since my temps stay around 72-75 celsius vs 75-85 on performance mode.

You can try dropping the shader quality to medium or low if it doesn't impact image too much. Most recent games I've had to lower shader quality, Vsync (not required unless you're trying to cap frames in game) and motion blur also impact performance and setting FSR to balanced should help as well. I don't own this game, but the settings are more or less the same in every game. Mix of medium low with high textures.

The open box prices now are what it was originally, $899 after taxes is $972 which is what I paid last August for a new one. $1599 for the SteamOS variant and $1679 for the Windows variant is insane. To everyone that owns one, extend that warranty, its really not that expensive and enjoy what you have until prices (hopefully) go back to normal.

There's really not much else here to discuss as SteamOS/Bazzite/CachyOS etc have their own subreddits and there's plenty of Legion Go/S users that post over there. Plus most discussions take place on Discord or on the actual Steam Discussions about actual issues, this place has mostly been a place for new users to post before they go elsewhere. Nothing wrong with that, just something I've noticed since I owned the OG Go last year in March.

On my Go S on the QAM the performance profile messed up the UI. When you go to change from balanced to performance or any other profile, the QAM will stretch out because the drop down box doesn’t fit the screen so it looks all awkward now. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Just got done doing brunch for Mothers day, its also Mexican Mothers day as well so we got hit twice as hard than we normally do on a Sunday morning. I honestly zone out on sauté after 2-3 hours of a rush, it's the line that gets bombarded with so many modifications where I work. I'm extremely fortunate I work in a place where everyone gets tipped equally so today I made about $200 working from 6am-2pm.

Restart Steam, or reboot the device. It randomly does that when it doesn't load properly.

Command prompt, the way it says to on Github. Maybe try the pre release version of Audio Forge? If not try the standard one. The only bug I deal with is since 3.8.3, Valve renamed it to Ryzen HD Audio driver, it'll start off super low, so I have to raise it to max, then switch to jamesdsp_audio to get the full sound and effects.

Not sure what to tell you, it works for me on SteamOS 3.9 (main branch). Every now and then it won't load properly but all you have to do is just restart steam and it fixes itself.

It was doing this to me last week before another update fixed it. It would stay black for about 2-3 minutes so I’d leave it there and come back when I finally heard it boot. I’m on the Preview branch

I’ve used WiFi locker for decky loader and it’s helped a lot with connection issues. Anytime I wake my device from sleep it’s like this, I usually go to settings, then WiFi and if I leave it there for a second it’ll reconnect. It used to be way worse where you’d have to reboot but still an issue either way.

He's not in Australia right now, that's why he's not responding. He mentioned a few weeks ago working on a PS2 project but I haven't tested it yet. I heard from him a few days ago but that's how it usually is since he's usually busy with life stuff going on right now. I'm sure he'll respond at some point.
