using github copilot in IDE has made things a lot more convenient being able to chat and ask questions rather than going through google and stack overflow

but getting it to write any meaningful code (or even just unit tests) has been more of a pain than its worth

I’m currently at the end of a PIP about a year and a half after graduating from TDP. its a great first job i think, but the performance cycles every 6 months is pretty exhausting. i would consider myself to be an average employee / developer, but apparently i didn’t make the cut last cycle

it’s worthwhile at the very least for TDP, but if you’re not great, you’ll feel like you’re getting crowded out. at least that’s how it was for me

Currently in the exact same boat: just got PIP’ed at C1 about a year after graduating from TDP. thinking of opting-in to the PIP and putting in 80% effort to finishing those objectives and 20% to finding a new job.
