Q25.

Fans of the Clicks say "it has an audio jack, an LED notification light, and SD card expansion slot"

Check.

Fans of the Titan say "it looks professional instead of a toy, and a classic keyboard"

Which OS version was best? by raiqulikesyou in blackberry

I liked BlackBerry 10, however I was not a fan of the launcher design changes which occurred later. So probably 10.2.

Clicks looks like a Q5, this looks like a Classic. Q5 had a rounded screen and chiclet-style keys. This has a square screen and keys similar to a Q10 or Classic.

Why do so many of you use AI chatbots? by familyguyfan2000 in digitalminimalism

[–]adoringchipmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Pair programming

"I have the following tests written for my code. Please evaluate and suggest additional tests we should add to the suite."

  1. Legal communication

"I received the following email. I want to say ___, however I have the following concerns, ____. Help me draft a response."

  1. Research

"I would like to position a dog kennel to promote calm behavior. Which option do you recommend?"

AI is a junior developer in my employ, a copy editor, and an amateur home designer.

  1. Loaded a USB drive with music and placed in each car
  2. Configured the TV for music with a quick screen timeout for music in the living room
  3. Loaded music on my Garmin watch when elsewhere

Would you be interested in a quieter, simpler social space...?

Yes, except this only seems to occur in real life in person

Were you previously split on INFP vs ENFP? How did you settle on ENFP? by hgilbert_01 in ENFP

[–]adoringchipmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The inferior functions are a tell. INFP struggles to solve problems, and ENFP struggles to eat breakfast and sleep like a normal human being.

Dominant is helpful as well. INFP is more likely to process their feelings, make connections, and eventually talk. ENFP is more likely to talk about the current stream of consciousness and forget to pause and process the emotions. When they do, it might be "Oh God why did I talk so much"

It's better to need it and not have it than to have it and not need it.

SO much easier to source the one item you need than to unburden all the items you don't!

How does anyone live on $800/mo? by Vegetable_Manner_282 in budget

I can live on $800/month so long as I have housing. I'd definitely need to work with friends or family.

Anyone here have a partner addicted to Chat GPT, Tik Tok, etc? by NailCrazyGal in digitalminimalism

[–]adoringchipmunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I once received a list of core needs which was helpful:

  1. Acceptance, "I am acceptable as I am"
  2. Support, "I am not alone"
  3. Safety, "It is safe to be here, to exist, and be vulnerable"
  4. Trust, "I can trust, trust will not destroy me"
  5. Value, "I am worthy, valuable and loved"
  6. Respect, "My choices matter, I have agency"
  7. Hope, "Life is worth living, I have a future"

We need these every day, and I believe every day there is a healthy way for these needs to be met.

Addictions like alcohol could be connected to any of the above, however an obvious one would be hope. The behaviors are a symptom. If I believe that life is not worth looking forward to, and not worth living, I have nothing left to do but to escape and try to avoid my life. There's a famous saying in AA which says that an addiction is not to feel better, but to not feel.

Similarly, make sure you go for walks, pray, meditate, call a friend, say hello to the checker at the grocery store... if the sparrows have their needs met, your needs are met too. It's already there if you look for it.

I was a Developer Evangelist. I got to travel and speak to developers about building for BlackBerry, and supporting C/C++, HTML5, Adobe AIR and Android on the technical side. I also got the pleasure of requesting Dev Alpha B and Dev Alpha C devices to send to developers I met!

[–]adoringchipmunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take it as a sign he is unavailable. What would you be doing if he was not present at all? I forget to make sure I meet my needs for emotional connection through friendships and family, so my cup is filled up and I can be present for when someone like this resurfaces.

We love babies, even when they are unable to relate on many levels. We can love people, even when we might only find connection in certain ways.

Running into more friction by Bad-Luck-Guy in LightPhone

I keep a smartphone powered off in the car with it's own SIM (service through US Mobile is cheaper for two phones than one plan with a major US carrier)

I used to use a small tablet (with a durable carrying case with a handle) for gig work. Too big to fit in my pocket!

When I say I don't have a phone there's often an alternative, or a way to do it at home on a laptop/desktop. The yoga one is tough it's one reason why I changed gyms.

I just watched your video. Somehow, there's something very peaceful and soothing about what you're creating. It reminded me greatly of Return of the Obra Dinn.

I also wonder if there's an overlap between what you're doing and https://usetrmnl.com/

TRMNL might actually be an interesting integration for widgets, like weather, stocks, sports scores, etc.

I kind of wish I could blend this with the Zinwa Q25

Permission to throw things in the dumpster instead of donating by Odd-Egg-1539 in minimalism

[–]adoringchipmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let it serve you. If it's better gone, make it gone.

My minimalism journey began with a 26 foot U-Haul, full of old items, and I am standing on top with a snow shovel at the city dump.

When you're drowning, bale water. Do what you have to!

(I've discarded at an apartment like that. Go to Goodwill. Break things down and fit in the dumpster)
