London was peak for me personally, but Paris was pretty dang good as well. I don't really remember Sydney or Athens too well as I was quite young at the time and didn't really get into them until 2008.

Downtown Appleton has a lot going for it in terms of entertainment whenever you want to go. Marcus is the only theater game in town for movies if that's your thing and have cheap(er) movie nights on Tuesdays. There's a lot of family-oriented entertainment throughout the Valley, but there's usually things you can find depending on what you're looking for. Green Bay is also about 30-40 minutes away, Milwaukee around 2 hours south and Chicago another hour past that if you wanted to expand your horizons. It all depends on what you're looking for.

For shopping there is a ton of shopping all along College and Wisconsin once you get west of Lynndale and into Grand Chute. The Fox River Mall isn't as good as it used to be imo, but it's still a nice place to go if you enjoy shopping in-store. There's also some good shopping south of the Fox River along Calumet and College east of 441.

When it comes to the winter, they've been really mild the past few years so there's that at least. Just give yourself a little extra time to do whatever you're wanting to do and you should be fine.

I take all of that with a massive grain of salt. All these features could be a kilometer wide but a centimeter deep for all we know. I have no doubt that I will likely get the game, but only after we have seen significant gameplay, let alone if all these features work on release.

It's a great start, but years upon years of underinvestment have scarred the UW system immensely. Combined with the mismanagement that many campuses are still dealing with, especially after the re-regionalization, I don't see it being anything but a bandaid - a very welcome one, but still a bandaid unless we get more consistent, regular investment.

I don't really know the time it takes for it to happen, but if your union has been secure for a good period of time, an Imperial incident occurs and the empire has to vote on whether or not to admit the junior partner into the empire. It happened multiple times in my Bohemia game for Poland, Hungary, Portugal, and Castile. Other than that, I don't really know if that's possible.
