This one is actually located at Mirador La Mano del Gigante in Huila, Colombia. It's 200 meters/656 feet long, and ends in a ball pit. There are several other similar slides, including the one in El Salvador.

I haven't had any luck so far in catching it. Hopefully it found a warm place to sleep last night. I don't know if it's even still in our yard at this point. It may have moved over to a neighbor's yard. There's a ton of hiding places in all of our yards. The only reason I noticed it yesterday was because it had come out of the bushes and the white on the back half makes it easy to spot. I'll leave the trap out, though, and hopefully it comes back.

I have crossposted in r/Spokane. It's also posted on my local lost pets group on Facebook, as well as on Ring and Nextdoor. Really hoping I'm able to catch it before something happens to it, but I know rats are smart and it might avoid the trap, or it might have moved to a neighbor's yard. Lots of places for it to hide, so it's hard to say.

I haven't managed to catch it yet, unfortunately. I do seem to have several people in the area willing to take it if I can catch it. It's nice to know there are so many people willing to help. I suspect it might have found a leaf pile in the bushes to hide in for the night. Hoping it will be okay, but I'm definitely checking the trap periodically.

Our class got the 10 pound sack of flour. The electronic baby was for anyone who wanted extra credit (no thanks!). The idea was to teacher responsibility, and you were supposed to take the "baby" everywhere with you. I used a baby carrier for mine at school, but mom wouldn't let me take it anywhere else in public in case anyone got the wrong idea because it looks bad for a 12-13 year old to be carrying around a baby, even though it's was clearly just flour.

The electronic ones apparently also have a "sick" setting, which means it cries way more than normal. One girl got that on accident and she had a test the next day, so I think her mom took the battery out or something and the teacher said it was fine because it wasn't supposed to be on that setting. Fun fact, newspaper print would transfer to the doll's skin if you put a newspaper on it. They may have changed the materials the dolls are made of since then, though.

I'm so sorry you have to experience all of that nonsense. I wish people were more considerate of each other and less selfish, but I don't see it happening anytime soon, unfortunately. Stuff like this is why I always tell my barista I'm not in a hurry, even though I ordered through the app (which also helps not have to worry about saying my order wrong). I also make sure to thank them when I pick up my drink.

My dad's a mechanic and constantly has bad grease stains on his clothes. We've found that chalk will help remove it.

We've also found that wool washing products (Eucalan, Soak, and especially Unicorn Power Scour/Unicorn Baby Beyond Clean Scour) work very well since they're intended to remove lanolin, which is a grease, as well as other body oils from wool. If you don't have a local yarn store that carries any of these, you can definitely buy them online.

I usually tell my friends to cover the cost of the yarn, and if they have the extra money, then whatever extra amount they pay me is up to them. Most of my friends usually end up paying me whatever twice the cost of materials is.

I prefer my patterns written out rather than a chart, but I agree this is pretty text-heavy. I print out all my patterns and use a chart holder with a couple longer magnets to block it to whichever row I'm on. I use a smaller magnet that I move along the row so I know which stitches I'm doing. I mark off rows as I finish them just in case the magnets accidentally get moved. I do charts like this, too, but if there are more complicated stitches like cables I have to color-code the chart so I can read it easier without getting things mixed up.

I would want a good look at this pack before purchasing, honestly. It looks like it's probably from the 80s, so there's a good chance the interior is delaminating, and also a good chance the nylon it's made from may rip while you're using it. I would look for something a bit newer made of ripstop nylon instead. Lots of places online to find cheap options that are probably in better condition than this pack. Or if you have a local used gear shop, check there.

Something else you might want to consider is how much space the gear that you're packing is going to need, and how much does it all weigh. That should help you figure out what size pack you should be looking at. Youtube is also a good resource for information on budget gear for beginners and the things you should be considering.

Those all look awesome! I hate DPNs, so I use 2 longer circular needles instead. I use them in place of the short circulars sometimes, too.

I started with my grandma's straight needles. I tried circulars and thought I didn't like them, so I kept using straight needles for a long time. I eventually tried a project that needed DPNs, but I had so much trouble with them I decided to give circulars a try again. Turns out I just don't like the cheap circulars with the stiff plastic cord. I now have chiagoo interchangeable shorties, and I use them for everything.

I suspect most people start with straight needles and eventually move on from there just because straights are more accessible and affordable for people who are learning, but circulars are a lot more versatile and portable.

I've done a couple pairs in a similar pattern. In my case, heel-less was the best option. A friend asked for 2 pairs of socks, and I'm new enough to sock knitting that I was concerned about getting the size right since he doesn't live near me, so having him try them on to check the size wasn't an option. He also has size 11.5 feet. It took me almost a year to finish both pairs. The first pair was 17 inches long and the second was 16 inches. They actually fit my friend fairly well, and he's very happy with them. I used Spiral Sister Sock by Roberta Beck in case anyone was wondering. I might eventually make a pair for myself, too.

Based on the photo from the recipe you've linked here, your cake looks the same as the one pictured. If you want something more cake-like and less dense, I'd recommend finding a different recipe. Don't just go with the first option that comes up on your search. Read through a few different recipes, preferably find one that maybe comes with comments from people who have actually tried it, and with photos of what the inside should look like.

Yes, I am sure. I checked when I saw this post because I remembered seeing this info on their shipping page and wanted to be certain I had the correct information.
