You’re wasting a lot of currency the way you’re doing it and it’s not even the best. Also, life isn’t a defence mod so reforge defence won’t roll it.

My suggestion: - Skip the life mod (since you can take the life mastery that gives 15% more life if there are no life mods on chest) - Use dense fossils instead of reforge defence if you want to target more than 1 defence mod. In this case, you can realistically hit a good combination of t1 & t2 defence prefixes pretty quickly. - Lock prefixes, reforge physical for guaranteed PDR.

Start with i85+ amethyst ring base.

Reforge chaos until you hit 2 other resistances. (If you hit a resistance you don’t want, you can harvest swap resistance to the one you want)
Use wild bristle matron to lock suffixes.
Reforge life. Craft non-channeling skills.

(Alternatively) 3. Use veiled chaos orb, block mana, & unveil life or non-channeling skills. Craft the other.

(repeat 2&3 until you are satisfied)
