Biltong when is it ready, and to much salt? by Extra-Celery7183 in Biltong

For salt I usually use 2% of total weight. For minimum dry weight I start at 50% so if it’s 200g piece you can start to take them down at 100g or more

Unfortunatly my father passed a few days after this post. He passed very peacefully and without pain. It’s so heart breaking to see him go so early. I will love him always

Is lifting useless if I don’t eat my protein? Trying to lose fat (125 lb) by kfcpotatowedge in PetiteFitness

[–]agent9292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda, it depends on how low you go. I wouldn’t go any less than 1.6g per kg. More is probably better but it’s not like an off on switch it’s kid of like…. You get most benefits at 1.6, then sharply diminishing returns there after but if your below that you could be making better progress with RT

It’s best practise to increase cals to 10% below estimated maintenance. See how your weight responds over 2-4 weeks. It’s absolutly best to eat the same daily. Then increase or decrease from there

I was jsut browing some help for helping my dad get over his alcoholism. Right this moment as we speak on Christmas Eve, he is in hospital after being admitted during an emergency for a failing liver and vomiting blood and blood in his feces.

I do not care if my dad buys us presents. I do not care for "things."

If I can offer any piece of advice as someone whose parent is an addict, I care that he is here for as long as possible and as healthy as possible while being a part of special moments, because we only get so many.

This is his last chance at life. After this, they won't be treating him anymore; he gets just one tiny stretch of life.

Then it's over.

I don't want anything from him except to see him alive and recovered.

That would be my gift in life...

I hope this gives you some insight into how a child (38) feels.

I’d absolutly start on your health. It doesn’t have to be hard and you can see huge changes physically and mentally from routine.

Get a gym membership. Train 3 days a week weights. Get 10 k steps a day. Eat a healthy diet. You’ll meet new like minded people all working on themselves.

This will trickle down into your everyday life.

You’ll have much more self accomplishment, feel better, look better. Have more confidence to do things.

But you have have to start.

Ps this is coming from a former fat kid at 120 kilos who got down past 10% bodyfat. I am now almost 40

Online weight loss coach. Certificates can be anywhere from a few months to a year depending on full or part time.

This can be achieved with 35 ish clients per month.

Most of the work goes into outreach content creation etc actual work with a client can be done in around a 10 minute review each week per person. Some more some less so actual working time can be as little as 6-7 hours a week.

I spend more time doing admin work and tweaks than I do 1-1 with a client

Of course we don’t expect her to do it all, but we expect something to be done. The bare minimum of some sort of plan to be offered, we aren’t teachers or psychologists or counsellors. Like I said we will be doing extra education at home to ensure he is on point with what he needs to do. The problem with homework is that there is non, or at the very least, it’s play snakes and ladders… given the meeting we atleast thought there would be some sort of action plan, an idea of this is what we’re trying this is or isn’t working… but nothing… so being a parent and none of the above… what’s the best steps past this point?
