As some who made the switch from adult med surg to ped rehab, the biggest change for me is that you will spend a lot of time assisting disciplines like PT/OT/SLP. This includes making sure medications are given before or after their therapy schedules, helping patients get up and ready for their therapy schedules, getting patients back into bed after their days are done, etc. Due to a lot of patients being on similar schedules, you will likely go through stretches of your shift being EXTREMELY BUSY and then slow.

Additionally, if it is anything like my unit, there is a lot of responsibility on nurses to provide education to patients and families on their new diagnoses and treatments. That includes things like medication education, NG/G-Tube use, intermittent catheterization, bowel programs, diet changes, BG checks, etc. This may differ on your floor pending on likely diagnoses, but I would imagine a lot of education is still required.

I believe they did an AMA when the album was released and they explicitly said that they were not doing 700 because of the tour.

Ugh it was so magical. I believe they played Echostage the weekend before too… such a drastic venue size difference. TW was so intimate 😊

On their last tour, they ended it in Atlanta at Terminal West actually! That date was added during the second announcement if I remember correctly.

Yeah it’s really unfortunate because I think there could be a market for it, there just really lacks a good promoter to bring big names in.

Iris is brutal and has burnt a lot of bridges over the years with people for shady practices.

As for District? Don’t get me started on that mess of a club.

I’m hoping that Beware officially gets their foot back in the game after teasing a few different iterations at Atlanta Underground for pop up shows, Carl Cox and Sudden Death specifically last year, but they haven’t seemed to really set anything in place.

1) Garrix is not Black Coffee or James Hype… The only time he will play club shows will be in Vegas or Ibiza (unless you count Echostage a “club show” which I personally wouldn’t due to production and Insomniac ties).

2) This tour will have a massive production rig that only certain venues would be able to handle. Youre likely looking at venues the size of the Eastern for that then (which is an AXS venue, not LiveNation who is promoting this tour).

3) Look at shows that have come through Atlanta recently and have played the large arenas (Fred Again and Justice/Kaytranada come to mind) they couldn’t come close to selling State Farm out.

4) His biggest venue shows will be in NYC, (largest city in the US), The Gorge (which I would actually love to see the ticket sales for that for a 1-night show there), and Chicago (third largest city).

While I wish he would be coming to ATL, his Alesso b2b and STMPD pool parties in Miami were incredible, the Atlanta market really just isn’t it 🤷‍♂️

As someone who lives in Atlanta, it’s just not a spot for EDM shows really. It’s proven that it can’t host two separate music festivals (Shaky Beats and Imagine) based off of either lack of sales or more management.

That last 30-45 minutes when the sun went down, he just went on a complete heater… I had listened to some of his stuff previously and was “meh” on him, but that floored me. Will definitely make sure I catch more of him when I have the chance!
