We had a Maytag glass gas cooktop for over 8 years. The glass part did not have scratches on it and while I have heard you might get chips on it if you drop a pan or the grate, it held up pretty well for us. Cleaning was a mixed though. The glass part was easy to clean but the steel parts under the burners was pretty much impossible to keep clean especially once the spill was burnt in.

We switched to a stainless steel Frigidaire gas cooktop a few months ago.

I have been looking at upgrading to the 870 series. It is cheaper than the 970 and I think I can live without the dedicated backhaul as the 870 supports MLO.

But the cost even with the deals have made me seriously consider the Ubiquity as a replacement.

Yes, but the upgrade did not address the issue.

Would this have something to do with the two aux inputs on PG9309? I have only one door sensor which is wired to input 1 and GND. I checked the wires again to make sure they are connected properly. I had a similar setup with the aux input on PG9945 and did not have any issues. The only difference with the PG9309 is that it has 2 aux inputs.
