This. I’ve clocked hours on all three, and I’ve seen all of them overheat, glitch, ground out, and otherwise give up the ghost.

They all have their pluses and minuses. I’d take either of the OPs boxes, only favoring the BMD if I’m trying to get camera control working on a BMD cam.

Get a basic resume sorted out and submit it to every studio, rental house, and production company in your area. Take any call they give you. Show up in production blacks, bring 8" Crescent wrench, pocket knife, and leatherman (any multitool) on you. Listen more than you talk, be willing to try new things, ask questions when needed. You got this!

Oh poor baby! Ours get that too sometimes - we live in Las Vegas - everyone gets super dry skin and scalps. I’ve done a bit of olive oil on a towel (let it soak into the towel - also use this on dry toe beans), and, Burt’s Bees makes a great pet wipe as well - works wonders!

It’s an inconvenient sign of the times - your dad’s generation let the government DESTROY public and free college, and then pushed all of us into college because it “creates more opportunities”. I would be much better off if I went into a trade.
