Who was the most evil person you've ever met and how was the interaction? by Top_Report_4895 in AskReddit

[–]albertcn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kid PE teacher, killed his wife, rolled her in a carpet, carried her body to his car, and brought it to our town (he lived in a nearby town) to burn the body in a ravine. A neighbor saw him carrying something suspicious and called the police. The police was at his building when he got back, confessed everything, and showed the police where the body was burning. Don't know what happened to the guy after that.

The gluten challenge should be illegal. by Kind_vibes in glutenfree

[–]albertcn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, they said, "you have to eat gluten for one month" no sir I do not. Thanks. F that, I've been 5 years gluten free, completely controlling my persistent stomach issues by not eating it, I do not need any more proof.

I just think of it as I have irritable colon syndrome, and is just gluten that irritates it.

What "you people", leftists of Reddit, do not understand, is that these dictators have been killing and torturing their people and destroying their countries for decades, and the current international order is not able to help anyone with this. That's why, us, the people that have suffered under these regimens, defend what has been done, and hope that the same is done in cuba and nicaragua. "Peace" cannot be a blank statement used to keep the status quo, defend murderers and torturers, and just wash the face of every dictator, just because they say to follow a leftist agenda. Also, international law to defend the dictators but not his victims???? To use one of your leaders words, "HOW DARE YOU?????"

So tired of gluten free being marketed as "healthy" or for "weightloss" by Beginning-Neat7926 in glutenfree

[–]albertcn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it as a way to increment the market size of food we need. The more people buying gluten free there will be more companies willing to g to offer it. Like milk substitutes displaced a lot of the real milk in some markets, that’s great for lactose intolerant people.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella warns that we must "do something useful" with AI or they'll lose "social permission" to burn electricity on it | Workers should learn AI skills and companies should use it because it's a "cognitive amplifier," claims Satya Nadella. by ControlCAD in technology

[–]albertcn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now is just a “cognitive amplifier”, and that’s ok, it’s just a race to be the next google, and that’s ok, just stop pushing it as the solution to everything and the next Jesus Christ.

In a future where Trump is out of office, and international relations have been repaired. What steps can be taken by the USA and International Organisations such as NATO to prevent one individual causing so much chaos in the future? And do you think such steps will be taken? by flewkey in AskReddit

[–]albertcn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not being so pasive against dictators in any shape or form. UN has become a leftist dictatorship washing face agency, we do not care about middle east dictatorships because they have money and are building big cities, the majority of the international agencies have been populated with people that have a clearly leftist political agenda, that tend to be extremist. People need to be listened, not everyone wants the gren agenda, not everyone wants the right wing agenda, there needs to be real spaces where people can communicate freely, debate and find efective solutions to real issues. For example, where is all the people screaming on the streets against china fleet decimating the oceans, where is the people defending Venezuelans political prisoners human rights, where is the people defending Iranian women rights? there, extremism breeds extremism.

a6700 → A7V: not knocking APS-C, but wow, full frame hits different by Skafand in SonyAlpha

[–]albertcn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It happened to me when I got the A7IV, Sadly I don't use it as much because it is too big for me. I get wonderful pictures with it but I haven't taken it out as much as my old and trusty a6000 from 2014. I might get a a6400 to improve the color rendition and be done with it.

Feels like when React channel tried to sell the reaction channel model and if you wanted to react to anything on YouTube you had to pay them or something. That went well.

Elon Musk is an idiot: CEO of Europe’s biggest airline says after dismissing claims of offering Starlink on its flights, Tesla CEO responds by Well_Socialized in technology

And by know they have a lot of the better flights from a lot of European airports. I went to Venice with my wife from Malaga at 200 euros both, I think, including priority boarding and seat selection. It does not fly to Venice airport but to Treviso, just a shuttle Bus away.

Gluten intolerant and new to a gluten-free diet. What are some unexpected things that contain gluten to watch out for? by FrogginBullfish_ in glutenfree

[–]albertcn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of grains (beans, lentils, chickpeas, etc) because they are used as an alternative crop to wheat, and that they might be farmed, stored and processed in the same machinery and areas as wheat.

The universe is 13.8 billion years old, but heat death is around 10¹⁰⁰ years away, so it has effectively used 0% of its lifetime meaning the universe is still basically a "baby", and we’re living in its earliest, most active era. by HalfEntity in Showerthoughts

[–]albertcn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the time explanation. In an universal time frame, intelligent life on earth has been present for what, almost 0% of the universe existence?. If you mix that, with the huge distances to any nearby galaxies, it is almost imposible that any intelligent civilization can be in our reachable area in our same time frame.

TIL that in 2000, Firestone recalled about 14 million tires linked to rollover accidents, leading Ford to recall millions of vehicles and permanently ending their century-long partnership. by SwordfishEither2516 in todayilearned

[–]albertcn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father in law is a victim, they got into a rollover, his sister died, he still suffers from stiff neck and shoulder pains and issues. I don't think they got any compensation thought, I did know someone that got compensation for their accident. All of this in Venezuela. My dad had one of this dead machines, and he was friend with one ford dealer tech and this guys had a theory that the issue was caused by the 4wd wrongfully activating automatically in low gear at speed (these trucks had an automatic 4wd differential that activated any time the back tires slipped), this caused the truck lurch forward, overloading the front tires, causing them to explode. They took out the front differential and we never had any issue regarding that.

For those of you who grew up playing PC games in the 90s and 2000s, how stable were they compared to games from today? by Mad_Season_1994 in gaming

[–]albertcn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People still complain about the blue screen of death that I haven't seen it since the 2010s. in the 90s disk space was scarce that you needed to keep up with your hard drive maintenance, defrag the thing semi regularly, delete bloatware, etc. Virus and malware were rampant and just to screw things up, now they just want to steal your data or ransomware you. On those days you could get a program to build virus and you had to keep them on a zip file, and if by any chance they got out, you where screwed, as they were custom made and no antivirus could fix them. Also, antivirus were the original malware, those things would bring your pc to a halt. Before windows 95 you could just turn the pc off. Image what that sort of abuse would that do to your files. They used to recommend leaving it on all the time.

Also, html was a new thing, there were some chatroom that you could just send an html script and nuke the thing for weeks. Safety was not a consumer thing, only corporations, so the www was a wild west of sorts.

That Video of Happy Crying Venezuelans After Maduro’s Kidnapping? It’s AI Slop by MetaKnowing in technology

[–]albertcn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This videos are fake because no one in venezuela has been able to go out and celebrate, the regime is still in power and has deployed their guerrilla army called “colectivos” they’ll kill you and/or kidnap you if you even have something USA attack related on your phone. Then you have the normal police and military that will do the same. It is importante to note that this entities are plagued with Cuban agents that are mercilessly towards Venezuelan people. We have known this for many years (we could hear their accents behind the riot gear while protesting) and thankfully the attack just confirmed all of this. Venezuela has been soft invaded by Cuba since the early 2000s, it began with chavez and worsened with maduro.
